133

I think many of the people here who didn't get that good results are more verbal thinkers than visual thinkers. Some of the questions (eg. the one with the donut-shaped house) will require visual thinking.

Their IQ results are weird, I usually get 125 (and I took a real IQ thing for that), and this says 133. :hmph:

Frankly speaking, on-line IQ tests are stupid. How can a 30 question test accurately tell me how smart (or dumb) I am? Yet another example of our McDonalds mentality of drive-thru believability.

This thing said I was 149, and I'm about the dumbest person I know. It's another flattering site that will give you really complimentary results so that you'll pay the $9.95 for even more flattering results.

I need a beer.

The Tickle test is pretty accurate, and it has about 50 questions. But it's probably inaccurate for other people.

I got 143.

I thought most of the questions were really easy, so this doesn't surprise me.

Anyway, I put zero stock in online tests like this, though it's fun to see what kind of results different people get.

I think I had a "real" IQ test administered when I was in school - maybe in third grade (?) - but I have no idea what the result was.

I took an actual IQ test in college that took about 2 hours, and that one scored me at 132 (at age 20). This one in the original post was pretty close to accurate, putting me at 128 (at age 40). I take these online IQ tests from time to time (yes, I'm bored) and they all run around the same figure for me (128 - 135). Granted, they're nowhere near as 'thorough' as the one I took in college, but for a snapshot IQ figure (averaged out) they're close enough to show you roughly where you stand.

According to iqtest.com,
"Your general IQ score is: 138"
I took way more than 13 minutes taking it....
It's easy compared to other IQ tests I have taken if you ignore the time limit, but with the limit, it is pretty much impossible.
...Just makes me wonder how much higher the number would be if I didn't have the processing speed of the average toaster.

I took some IQ tests in the past and I scored 125-138.

135. I usually score around 130 on IQ tests I take, but I've never taken one that's from a psychologist or Mensa - only ones from internet and tv that are probably less reliable.

I'm very sceptical about the validity of this one as nearly everyone who's replied has an IQ significantly above average.

I read somewhere that you can improve your IQ by doing brain-teasers and thought puzzles... maybe that's why so many of us are scoring high on these things--we like doing them so much we do multiple ones!

(Don't worry about that messing up your score on an official IQ test. If you practice brainteasers and get a higher score, it's a legitimate improvement.)

I got 130 but slacked on the last few question b/c I was talking to someone online. Usually I do better.
