"You are an arrogant jerk"
You're confusing pezar with SotiCoto.
and I seriously didn't see how they think pezar was being arrogant. he wasn't even attacking any one person.
Pexar WAS arrogant. If he responded to a post about a wild scam al these people supported, and didn't use such high prices on unneeded things, and everything else was the same, I would say it was simple AS and he merely APPEARED arrogant because of the circumstances. It doesn't look like any of that was the case though.

I think sometimes you have to keep some comments in your head, its difficult working out which ones though.
As a rule its the ones that would make you angry if someone else called you that.
Some of you guys act like you think you're supposed to be mundies, and do things the mundie way.
It really isn't necessary.
If nobody wants to be friends with you, it is probably because you're the other sort of person: Not a nasty person, but a boring person. Afterall, people notice you far more easily if you're nasty than if you're "nice".
And besides... when you go looking for things, that is when they tend not to be found.
Don't bother looking for friends and I'm sure sooner or later somebody will find you interesting. Might take a while though.
You are saucy and I approve!

hmm...let me look over this again:
"I've spent quite a bit of money, $9,000 or so. For all you morons who think that you can start a business with $8 for your domain name, and then make millions, this is for you."
and
"If you're not sure you're gonna get rich, you need to either change your business plan or go flip burgers for the rest of your life, and use your credit to pay for Spanish classes so you can talk with your co-workers."
okay, arguably that is mean and possible racist.
But if I read it again, I might intrepret it as rhetoric and not an actual insult...it depends

The part that really offended me though, was the subtle racist remark. That's inexcusable. You should have apologised for that.
where?
Its the last sentence of the first post.
"If you're not sure you're gonna get rich, you need to either change your business plan or go flip burgers for the rest of your life, and use your credit to pay for Spanish classes so you can talk with your co-workers."
Slowmutant....are you condoning what nature often seems to do with the intelligent being attacked by the well.....idiots?
Because I dont insult them, call them names or anything, I just do the work and answer the questions, you can't say its my fault if I want to be of the lesson even if I'm in a class who knows nothing about anything except ipods, mobiles and chav stuff.....

I am an arrogant jerk.
Due to being autistic I come off as 'dumb', insecure and apathetic though.
My character really sometimes clashes with how my symptoms manifest. I am arrogant - I appear to be the opposite.
I really believe the opposite is quite possible too.
That somehow, being on the spectrum, makes you appear somewhat arrogant - though you're not at all arrogant.
Both is just as problematic and annoying, yes.

That spanish comment was NOT racist!! !! ! People that think it was are merely agreeing with it in racist fashion! HOW could it not be racist?
1. It is TRUE!
2. Those that speak spanish are NOT necessarily only one race. In fact, MOST ARE WHITE!
So WHY do people say it is racist? Because some are lazy and want to engender hatred and the "race card" is always a good one to "play" for that. Note those LEGITIMATE terms, and their otherwise most common meanings!(It is like they are playing a GAME of poker and BLUFFING YOU so they win, EVEN though IT IS A LIE!) They realize that many of them(FROM MEXICO) have a certain culture, and some indian blood, so they can make it SEEM like they are another race.
Under the three major classifications, and even the 4 top classifications, they would be generally considered CAUCASION!(AKA WHITE!)! Frankly, if I were king, I would split the caucasion race into at least 3 sub races(skin color, and a few other little physical characteristics nobody looks at now anyway, aren't really helping.), but that is just me.
BESIDES, what does a language have to do with race anyway!?!?!? At one point, some NON blacks learned swahili. In fact Uhura's, in star trek, name comes from Uhuru which is swahili for freedom. Granted, she is black, but the name probably came from a white researcher because, at the time, some wanted swahili to be like esperanto. I am learning hindi. Some FRENCH learned German, even though many hate the Germans. Blacks and EVEN hispanics have learned other languages. Many Americans learn spanish. So a language has nothing to do with race EITHER WAY so how could his TRUE statement be racist!?!?!?!?!?
BTW The Germans say "It appears to be Spanish to me." if something looks complicated.(German idiom translated to english.) In the US that translates as "It looks like Greek to me."(The English idiom meaning the same thing) Does that mean we can call GREEKS another race ALSO!?!?!?
Why didn't they call it racist when people referred to the Russian and German languages in the same way as they now refer to spanish? And WHY wasn't it considered racist to not hire Irish!?!?!?!? I mean the Irish come FAR closer to being another race than Spanish Speakers do! Spanish Speakers come from ALL OVER! The Irish come from only one little country. And countries have a bigger correlation to race than languages do!
Come on people, you're supposed to be mostly aspies!(My apologies to those that aren't) THINK LOGICALLY! There is no tie between spanish and race!
Due to being autistic I come off as 'dumb', insecure and apathetic though.
You seem a bit insecure, but not dumb, at least from what we can see here. As far as apathy, that can be a good thing as long as you move ahead and take the right things seriously.
I have mentioned APPEARANCE of arrogance a lot.
I really believe the opposite is quite possible too.
That somehow, being on the spectrum, makes you appear somewhat arrogant - though you're not at all arrogant.
Both is just as problematic and annoying, yes.
I have mentioned the same thing. I guess I still appear a bit arrogant also. I toned it down a few years ago on another forum and people apparently were concerned. Someone said something STUPID, and my streak showed its "ugly" face, and people said "Steve, glad to see the spark come back!", or something like that.
I tend to seem more arrogant when someone suggests something VERY stupid, old, or obvious like it is very intelligent, new, or obscure, ESPECIALLY if they want credit. In a way, I SEEM most arrogant when others truly are.
BTW People treat me bad until they appreciate that I can help, and know what I am talking about.
If you are talking about me (I think I was the one talking about contributing), most of the people on that forum LIKE ME now! Many have THANKED me for helping them! They practically begged me to come back!
I'm just going to go ahead and get this off my chest.
There seem to be a lot of "arrogant jerks" on this board lately. I'm sure that not everyone here is this way, but those who are seem to be setting the general tone of the board. A lot of people here are bashing others (mostly NTs, but sometimes other aspies too) left and right for their behavior, their interests, the way they present themselves, and their supposed lack of intelligence. Honestly, what makes all of you think that you are so much more intelligent than others, or that the way you do things is so much better than the way they do them? Is it really so horrible that some people like to talk about simple things like the weather, or that they would rather watch television than learn a whole bunch of details about (insert your "intelligent" interest here). Do you need to nitpick over every grammatical error people make, or every "slang" term people use? And really, why is the way other people dress such a big deal? It's one thing if you disagree with or dislike something, but all the judging and the hateful language is uncalled for.
As someone who has been cast out for the way he thinks and behaves, it is saddening to see other aspies doing the same thing. It seems that a lot of you are no more understanding and accepting of people's differences than your stereotypical NT. This makes it hard for me to relate to the AS "community" even though there is no mistaking that I have AS. (Of course, knowing some people on this board, my aspieness will probably get questioned.) I know I'm not the most intelligent or sophisticated person ever, but I think I have my good qualities and I'm sure a lot of the people you guys are bashing do too. I know some of you have had tough times, but I don't think that being negative and having a superiority complex is going to do any good. Nobody's going to understand and accept you if you can't do the same for them.
Yep, I had a talk with a professional who said that when I'm confident, I can't say and speak about some things or else people will feel that I feel weak or insecure. It would be like lying??
That's odd. I think I should be allowed to speak freely about my weaknesses. I don't really understand why I cannot say these things.
I can say I'm a purple duck even when I know that I am not. I still enjoy saying it to vent immensely!
I talked my therapist into teaching me what I can and what I cannot say. I wonder if this'll work.
In the meantime I concluded that many people are way to tense. They should curse a lot more, vent a lot more, have some temperament and show it and on the inside, they should like being themselves with all their failures and shortcomings, because being human is always awesome.
I think that is a matter of defensiveness. They pick up something of what you say but as they cannot understand it, they come up with their own interpretation. And their interpretation of what you said is hostile and mean. Then they feel threatened.
I've not spoken with this about a psychologist yet, but I'm pretty sure that I am right. I just don't know why it is like this yet.
I noticed that people tend to distrust others and see hostility everywhere. They tend to assume the worst in situation that are either ruled by chance or involve another flexible/unknown factor. So that when they only understand a few parts and fill up the rest in their minds, they'll very likely behave as if faced with real hostility.
