Can others tell you have Asperger's?
Yeah, I'd say for me, yeah.
It's been misdiagnosed, though, so many times. But, people can tell there's "something" up with me, just I'm kind of...unbalanced. Not in the "I'm crazy" but NVLD allows me to know lots of stuff, but my capability is significantly less than my knowledge of stuff. A lot of the time, people tend to overlook any quirks or me not seeing all the social cues or whatever, simply because I'm able to give lots of knowledge to people, and I'm good at receiving it, too. One way I've managed to sort of "hide" myself is by the constant wearing of preppy clothes, but my personality and mannerisms not matching my clothing probably is pretty odd, too.
So yes, most people know "something" is up, but they usually can't pin it to Aspergers. That, and Aspergers might not be entirely correct for me, I've been diagnosed NVLD, and I also got schizoaffective and schizoid PD type, however again, I saw another psychologist, she said the schizoid diagnosis were invalid because I was 17 at the time of the diagnosis. She also said lots of high functioning autism people are misdiagnosed schizoid. So, even psychologists can't come to a consensus about the exact DX I have, so random people obviously can't either. But, all my life, yeah, everyone's sorta thought something was up. That, and as a little kid, people almost thought of me like "gifted" I managed to do like 12th grade level for reading in kindergarten (though I think the tests were a bit flattering, imo, it was private school, not state tests) and I remember my parents being super impressed at that. That, and I managed to act very adult, mature, etc, when I was younger, again, with the exceptions of terrible meltdown periods that you can only look back and see in retrospect.
So short answer, yes.
