I am fair-skinned, but not overly pale. I can tan in the summertime.

I'm black, so I don't have pale skin.

I'm pretty dark for a white guy. probably in the 95th percentile or so.

I have known one black guy who was an aspie, and I guess he was pretty pale for a black guy, but I don't know if that was the reason he was pale.

Serotonin plays a part in the production of melanin (or its precursor or whatever); a lot of people who’re autistic spectrum disordered have a problem with the uptake of serotonin in the brain, much like those with OCD.

I’ve noticed since I’ve taken a SSRI anti-d I’ve gone a fawn colour when I’m in the sun; which is a lot of the time…previously I was a “ghost”; like an albino but with blue eyes and brown hair that never changed colour when in the sun, not even a freckle – which I was always teased about in high school.

Mine is; I could never get a tan, which was always just one more way in which I felt like the odd one out (everybody around me at places like swimming pools always had tans).

I've never had a suntan in my entire life.

I'm definitely white, where I get a sunburn pretty quickly. The only way I can look tanned is if I use the gradual self-tanners designed for fair skin.

I'm pale, but not extremely. Then again, both my parents are darker than me (especially my dad! As a little kid, I thought he was orange!) and SPF 50 isn't strong enough to keep me from burning... During the summer, I'm not even allowed to go outside from 12-2 because I'll either burn or become lathargic and pass out. Either way, it's not good!

I took part in a photoshoot recently that involved being painted on with white and red paints - in most of the photos, the white paint is indistinguishable from my skin! So yeah, very pale.

My skin is extremely pale. I can't be outside for long on a bright sunny day without burning up.

My skin isn't pale. It is light yellow (same colour as East Asians, just lighter)... but the weird thing is that NONE of my family members for two generations (which is as far as I know) have my skin colour. Their skin colours are darker and none has yellow skin.

Well, I'm a possible aspie and I have a cousin who is diagnosed HFA. We are both Black. I think that blows the whole pale skin theory away.

Black people can also look "pale" if skins vividness is gone or poor.

Iam diagnosed aspie and very pale, I look ill without any makeup.
