I'm glad you are okay. My car started smoking on a freeway once. It didn't burn down. A tow later and an expensive repair, and I'm still driving it.


That's why I got a Jag to replace it :-p

In response to the comment about Fords, the model of Range Rover I owned was produced during the period of BMW ownership of Land Rover.

I don't know much about older cars, but Ford seems to be far ahead of the other American car manufacturers today. Considering how many moving parts there are in cars, it's a wonder they actually work even half the time.
