I was standing on the beach with my parents, I don't know how old I was. I can remember not understanding words at all. But at the time the words "Saint Bernard" came out of my mouth, with no clue what they meant or anything, just some sort of delayed echolalia.
That's the first autistic-seeming thing I can remember. I can remember lots of things before that, but I remain too unaware of how I looked to other people or what my body was doing at the time physically (because I wasn't too attached to it) to be able to say what looked autistic and what didn't, without referring back to things that are not my memories but rather my parents' descriptions of me.
