And I dislike being lectured which you've consistently done for several posts now. Since you value consistency you can consider that a compliment.

I honestly don't care if you go off topic. The point was to point out that you were criticizing the way others were posting, and it doesn't feel nice.

I would've been happy to answer why I answered with one word, preferably in PM and preferably without being insulted at the same time.

I don't care if you dissent. I don't even see what you are doing as dissent. You simply criticized others.

OK well I apologise if you think I insulted you - it wasn't my intention

I was finding humour in the seconded, thirded.... thing as it is one of my pet hates

'QFT' is the worst, with 'This' not far behind

I do dislike it when people do this kind of thing and that is the thread topic so am I meant to not say anything or what?

I suppose they could be termed 'forum posting cliches'

If the type of people I don't get along with happen to be represented by some people on here am I meant to lie about it?

I gave an example of the type of stuff people I don't get along with do - which is on topic I believe

Aside from the inability to tell stuff from people, let's get back on topic.

For me... drama magnets that don't realize they are drama magnets

This. Also: They realize they are drama magnets, but rationalize it into being someone else's fault.

Lol, "I agree to agree with the issue" - I have a dislike for this type of agreement eg 'This' and 'QFT' - why even bother with a one word post??

"Count me in with the gang" in other words - no explanation of why needed

It's my way of letting Verandi know she made a good point.

I let people know when they make a good point because I like to encourage them to make more good points. Verandi makes many good points; therefore, I express my continued fandom and reinforce my status as Verandi's hardcore groupie.

As to why I agreed with her point, I've found that many people invalidate the problems of others by pointing out that there are worse problems. That type of reasoning is bullplop. Taken to its limit, that would mean that only the most miserable, put-upon human in the history of the human race has any right to complain about anything. Bullplop.

Wrong Planeteers,

Out idle curiosity, is there a particular type of person you absolutely can not get along with (note: I'm talking about personality traits)?

For me, the people I get along with the LEAST are the ones who have absolutely no sense of humor. I'm not a "serious" person, and I'm pretty laid-back most of the time, so I generally avoid uptight people who act like everything is the end of the world. I also can't stand folks who are extremely judgmental in that they're eternally passing judgement on what other people wear, how they talk, how attractive they are, ect. Sheesh. Mind your own friggen business. Lastly, extremely emotional people stress me out. And by that I mean people who constantly swing from one emotional extreme to the other.

Thanks for your input.

Pretty much what you said.

This statement is extremely uncomfortable to me, although I appreciate the compliment.

Indeed. Also I've seen people argue that others have no right to solve their own problems if they're not solving other people's that are seen as (and often are) worse before they bother with themselves. Like saying people have no right to object to institutionalized sexism in the US if they're not actively fighting rape in Africa. Which is an example of how I've seen the argument used.

This scenario reminded me of how I FELT (but only did a slow burn, never burst into flames) when one of my aunts used to try to tell me things like how to peel a potato. And that was after I had years of experience in the kitchen. Even at the time I recognized that my feelings were more intense than the situation called for, but I never could stand that woman. :?

There may have been other factors at work in this instance... Once anxiety has started, anything can set off a tantrum or melt down

Man i dont even remember if I replied to this or not.

In general, I tend to get along less with:
1) Conservatives
2) People with huge egos
3) Female bullies
4) People that have problems with quiet, socially awkward people.

There's still more people here and there I dont get along with, but those are the groups of people. I might not get along with someone for whatever else reason.
