I have a friend who is 43, and chews with her mouth open, and talks with food in her mouth. She gets little bits of food all over her lips, and she even spits little bits of food when she talks with food in her mouth. She eats like a barnyard animal. It's disgusting. Oddly enough though, she doesn't make a lot of noise when she eats. At least, not that I can remember. Which is good, because I can just look away while she has food in her mouth, and it doesn't bother me. If she made noise too, it would drive me nuts until she's finished eating.
Luckily, I only have to see her for about an hour once a week.
I don't understand how people make it to that age without someone saying something about the way they eat. Unless everyone she knows eats like that too. In which case, I will never go to her house for dinner.

Awe shucks. I do what your friend does. People have said something, and then I try my hardest to be conscious. As a result, I then can't pay attention to anything they say because I'm too concentrated on chewing. You wouldn't want to be around me when I chew gum. It's been pointed out many times that I'm very similar to a cow.

Sorry, I could not be around you either! :D good thing there are such things as internet friendships! :D BTW, They did talk to their daughter about licking her fingers at the table and she is not allowed to do that anymore. The mom did mention this.

Must of totally missed that part. :s Well, that makes sense now. OK, so now that she is not allowed to do that, the son should be taught to compromise. I guess I missed a page. Whoops. XD Thanks for telling me, though.

And yeah. It's a GREAT thing there are internet friendships! I know in person, I can easily annoy even the most patient of people. I'm just way better off online for a lot of things. ;]

No worries Bleh! I like country music and one of my favorite songs is by Brad Paisley. It's called, "Online"
Here's the link to one of the videos for it. It's really cute.

ROFL!! ! I guess I'm at a loss because I can't lie in person much or online. LOL! My hands are like "Nope, you can't type a lie either, missy". D: But it would be cool if I could create a whole 'nother me.

For starters, I totally don't chew like a cow. 8)

Well, it's no wonder; to lie, you have to keep several things in your mind at once--the truth, the lie, the other person's likely reaction to the truth, the other person's likely reaction to the lie, and the delivery of the lie in a convincing manner. Is it really so surprising that autistic people, with our single-point focus and general dislike of multi-tasking (especially social multi-tasking) would suck at lying?

If an autistic person wants to hide something, they are much better off simply omitting it!
