I did not call you a sockpuppet, but rather asked if you were one because i was confused by your post.

I don't suspect you of being one, either. Your writing style seems very different than Norny's.
I'm not accusing you of it. I'm just offended that you'd ask a question that you knew the answer of therefore it was pointless. Obviously I'm not sockpuppet, because if I was then wouldn't, I have not been on this forum for 9 months. I mean all signs point to no. It is a useless question. Actually now that I think about it. It's more disappointment. Ehh. I'll let it go though. It's over no point in continuing this argument. I see why my post could be confusing. It's just that I have issues with if someone is talking to me. Does that happen to you? It's hard for me to see who someone is addressing.
Nonetheless, You brought up a good point. The people on wrongplanet writing styles are quite varied. I wonder if that has something to do with this forum in particular.. I just get upset when people assume my lack of sympathy is sociopathy.

To be clear I think, somanyspoons is being a bit extreme here. Both with the age remark and all of it. I also don't appreciate the infantilization. :| I want to be treated as any other wrongplanet member. Don't think otherwise because of my Younger member status. You also shouldn't expect so much from a moderator. They're people at the end of the day, They make mistakes. They are not perfect. They might ban someone for the wrong reason that is why the have a Appeal system. You have high expectations of him. I think he was being extreme.

Rest assured, to me you are "just" another WrongPlanet member, at least as sensible and rational as any other. I don't believe in discriminating on the basis of age.

Some twelve year olds are among the wisest and smartest people I have ever met--and that is the literal truth, not any kind of patronizing or insincere remark.

I don't experience the kind of confusion you speak of in regards to the subject of conversations, but I can understand that the statement you responded to would be distressing if you felt it was somehow characterizing you as a sociopath.

I think its only to be expected that there are sometimes misunderstandings on WP, given the nature of the diagnosis many of us carry. I think the best approach is to try not to interpret things negatively when another reading is possible and make an effort to tolerate each other's distinct styles.

Thanks for your understanding. :D

That is really interesting to me because Autism sets in during the second trimester of pregnancy. So I wonder if it could be because of different conditions in the womb with each pregnancy or if it has to do with hormonal or chemical differences with the mother. I know that a child's genotype is affected by the mother's responses to external experiences during each pregnancy, like if she were in a famine situation or something. That is an extreme example but how her body would adapt to that environment would affect the outcome of the genotype of the child in her womb. I wonder if external influences could also have an affect on creating an Autistic child and to what severity the child could be.

I wonder if environmental influences could affect or even create autism. My mom was being severely abused by my biological father while I was in the womb and I wonder if that affected me somehow.
