I can't even kill bugs. I will rescue them if they are drowning.
I thought I was the only person who did this.I could spend hours after a rainy day pulling worms out of puddles and picking bugs out of the swimming pool and laying them on the edge to dry out. When I was in third grade I once tried to fight a boy because he was stepping on ant hills.About the same age I accidentally killed a bug that I thought was "stuck" in a tree.I pulled on it and it came apart....oops.I found out later, reading about insects, that it had been laying eggs. Now I try and be careful about playing "god".I have carried a lot of bugs outside my apartments through the years.....but will kill ticks, fleas, roaches, misquettos, maggots, flies and even ants in my apartment.I dont like sharing space with these critters so I am not a great Buddhist.
I do the same thing! It bothers me to see any animal in pain. I'll even flip flies over in my bathroom when they get stuck upside down. I hate the creatures, but I hate killing them more. I won't even kill bugs inside the house. I adopt the spiders who live here, I transport the crickets and ladybugs back outside, and I jump on my bed and scream when I see a roach (and they don't really come up here, so yay! It was a problem down in the South). I don't particularly mind people getting hurt, but I hate when animals are.

That might not be the best sign.
