Well it's certainly a sackable offence in the workplace to say these...

However, it must eventually get irritating (unless the girl has high levels of narcissism) to be ogled by every second male (of course lets give some allowance here as most women might have an elevated sense of their own attractiveness).

Yeah I'm sure it would, but I'm also sure that my situation is a lot less preferable to anyone who wants a relationship and so quite frankly, just deal with it. I have to just deal with my misery, so I have no compassion for this.

So if you have no compassion about it and can't relate at all to what the OP has said, why are you still posting in this thread? Like why are your problems so much more important than anyone else's you have to derail someone else's thread thread with negative 'well I have a different problem therefore yours is invalid, so f*ck you' rhetoric?

Yeah I picked this up but I don't think the girls understand how much being a young male and being alone is like and am guessing the reason "hollowmoon" hasn't returned to the thread she created is because she was probably aware that her problems about "getting too much attention" might be a little bit like showing off.

Yeah, I have absolutely no compassion for this problem. You get too much attention? Deal with it.

Those of us on the opposite end of the spectrum have to deal with no attention, and we have to deal with that, so tough sh!t.

Then can't you just ignore this whole thread? This forum is supposed to be for support, not for putting others down just because you happen to have the opposite problem! If you want to talk about how hard it is for people who are the opposite, do it without belittleling other people's problems like some others here have done.

I'm not saying it isn't a problem, I'm just saying I don't have compassion for it given my problems. To be honest this thread struck a nerve with me if that wasn't already apparent.

Support only means as much as what it can help achieve. I gave my advice in the first comment

Then, like I said, shouldn't you stay away from this topic? I highly doubt your comments are helpful to hollowmoon and if you're uncomfortable with the subject too, then both of you will win if you just don't say anything anymore. You got no compassion for her or others with the same problem, got it, message sent, move on. Hopefully you realize that your messages can be very hurtful to those who struggle.

Seriously, quit it. Lot of young (and older) women who want a relationship don't have one; it's not some guy problem. Lots of us women struggle too. Sure, we won't understand exactly how the men feel, but the same goes the other way around. And it's not like men can automatically understand other men well simply because they're of the same sex. Same goes for women.

According to her profile, Hollowmoon's last login to this site was at the same time she posted this thread, so she just hasn't been on since.

The suicide rate for young males is 5 times higher than young women, I think young men take being alone much harder than young girls although I am not trying to diminish the fact that loneliness is not fun for girls either.

I'd come to the same conclusion, except for the fact that, according to my experience, other guys just seem to "get it" more. Case in point here.

Even if that is the case, it's in no way women's fault, so it's not a reason to belittle women's problems or try to blame things on women.

I don't really think hollowmoon was being serious about being in "Hell" especially since she asked for opinions and then vanished like she didn't really care...

Doesn't make much sense to make a thread about a serious issue you're having that's apparently giving you hell and never come back to check it

Or she could be busy with, you know, real life. Or she could have checked the thread without logging in, seen some of the rude responses and chosen not to come back. Or maybe she just forgot; that happens to some people.

Although it is really hard for me to imagine being a man (since I am a woman, after all :P ) I think men do take loneliness much harder. They don't always have as much of a support network that women do. I think they somehow find it emasculating (the not having a woman or being rejected by one). Am I right or did I get it wrong?
