The terminology of autism can be bewildering, with autism, Asperger syndrome and PDD-NOS often called the autism spectrum disorders (ASD) or sometimes the autistic disorders, whereas autism itself is often called autistic disorder, childhood autism, or infantile autism.
Here you go, try and get your head around this!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutismOh no! Just clicked on the link and the first thing I saw (Not read it yet) is repeatitively lining things up or stacking things is a sign of autism in a child.. I was ALWAYS lining up my toy cars. I didn't play with them in the same way that other children did until I was older. I just lined up every car in rows and tried to put similar cars together in colour order.
I was always doing the same with felt pens etc... I could not understand other children who didn't do this.
And the playpark was torture to me. If a child jumped off a swing or a roundabout I would be in tears and would rush to try to stop the swing or roundabout from moving. I remember my Mum once had to drag me away from the playpark on a windy day because I was soo upset as the swings were moving in the wind!
