Cure for Asperger's (fantasy)
I must say that I view my Aspieness more positively than those Aspies who have instead been cruely and ruthelessly bullied all their lives.
I had some bullies. But overall, I was very lucky and usually admired from afar by most of my classmates and just thought of as eccentric rather than a freak.
My experiences have undoubtedly had an effect on how I view my Aspergers. Plus, I have certain talents and interests which are more important to me than most humans are and thus I cannot imagine not having them. Having what I have now, if I got rid of Aspergers, I would miss it so much.
I wouldn't mind though to be able to be more verbally eloquent and quick-witted rather than stupidly tongued-tied and often stuttering. I've always hated that (i.e., the perfect come-back four months later instead of when I needed it).
And also the oral tactile as well as my epidermal tactile sensitivities I could do without. Those are just endlessly frustrating and bothersome. And lesser anxieties as well would be nice.

I think I'm in the same boat as you Sophist :: starts rocking it ::
I didn't have many bullies at school, the majority were in my early years at High School, I think they learnt their lessons quickly after I reacted with extreme violence. (throwing rocks, locks and scissors. Fighting (I used to make wild kicks that always missed, they usually stopped after that, connecting with one of those kicks would've hurt like hell)
Though I'm probably more verbally eloquent, and I don't have much sensitivities, only my hearing is sensitive, which I sometimes stim by creating alot of noise (either through tapping stuff, or making noises with my mouth... something I try to avoid in public)
I'd never want to part with my Aspergers... That'd be like having a limb amputated.

Never. Besides the DP I rather like my brain. I like how I'm so different and how I think completely differently. I like that it takes me a week to get a joke and that I'd rather stay home and fix my stereo speakers than go to a big party.
I like me just how I am.
