Okay, so far you've called us 'brain damaged', 'stupid', 'liars' and now 'weirdos'.

You missed out 'ret*ds'.

Go on, you know you want to - double-dare you

Someone claimed they had no vaccinations and wanted to know how they acquired mercury. It could have come from dental amalgams or pollution. Have you been tested for fr4agile X?

Repetition is a sign of brain damage. Your just getting boring now.

Um, John.

EVERYONE has mercury in their system. Mercury poisoning occurs when the levels are higher than normal.

Mercury is also only toxic when pure. Mixed with silver (amalgam) or with other substances (as in Thimerosal) neutralizes the toxicity. It's just like table salt.

Oh. one more thing.

Being normal is overrated.

Actually mercury was being used in dental amalgams since the 1800s. It was also being used by the Chinese since the 7th century.

Plus, autism shows delays before the second birthday...I'm not sure that any dentist would put fillings in a two year old.

As for pollution, are you saying there was no pollution before 1931, before Eli Lilly came onto the scene?

Also, could you please define poor thinking, weirdo, and normal. You keep saying these words, but I'm not sure if we understand exactly what you mean by them.

Thanks!

I am unique in that I am one of the few people with AS willing to completely reject who I am and accept that it is better to be 100% neurotypical. Foresam is right. People with AS aren't living in the neurotypical/rational world. It is not a question of right or wrong. We are socially dysfunctional and aren't suited for the world we live in.

Why would you reject who you are?

Because the way I am has given me nothing but misery in this world. Does that sound like a good enough reason?

Do you want to cure the 'weirdos' too?

Yeah, really...

Some of the greatest minds ever were weirdos.

Einstein was most definitely autistic.

Tiny Tim (a literal walking encyclopedia of all things music) was probably autistic in addition to being affected by cerebral palsy.

Bill Gates has AS.

Thomas Jefferson (best American president ever) showed autistic traits his entire life.

Sir Isaac Newton also did.

Would you want to cure them too, Mr. Best?

I sure as heck hope not.

I am sorry you are having a tough time, but consider this.

Humans are not well suited for living in jungles, deserts, wastelands, beaches, mountains, or even plains. We built cities, we built roads, we built shelters.

Aspies are not well suited for living in modern society, so we built message boards and social networking sites, and email clients and instant messaging. Make no mistake about it, the information age is to Aspies what the Iron Age was to Mankind.
