yea, mods can be harsh, especially when they delete stuff you posted. freedom of speech is fleeting

instead of being offended when you post something in the wrong place and it is moved,think and post it somewhere that it will be more appreciated

Here is the problem;
ascan believes that they are justified by definition (the actual wording in the guidelines).

Now ascan(does it mean aspies can?) has a gift. The ability to gateher all the facts and put them in an orderly manner which supports their position (great talent too)

But the distinction here is ascan has something to lose, good standing in the community.
Sophist would lose as well; she would have to lie if she were to agree and a lie would aid in her view from the community as not favorable, she too would lose her good standing in the community.

What was really lost by ascan?

Your talents have been noted (personal note; i do belive that you have remarkable skill and would be an incredible asset as a representative of something) it is clear that you do not agree with the warning, but your work is done here, and i think you have made your point ( i am leaning towards you on this one, great skill indeed) and perhaps you have done something great. You planted a seed, which may affect future rulings.
Any further redundancy would tend to cheapen the argument. You have been vindicated, and warnings do go away, i believe i read them that way.


Sophist, i was thinking about an open air forum gallery.

a place in which heated debate and argument can go further than the norm, only if it is not handled behind someones back. meaning; if i am going at you and you back at me, then we could get as dirty as needed to further our position.

It seems like it happens anyway, but their would then be a time and place for it and not at the expense of personality. People like and they dont like others anyways.

you could call it the ANTI-HAVEN and under the description you could wrtite, not for the faint at heart, pacifists beware, do not enter, this forum is designed for audults only. aDULT sIZED dEBATE. bottom line is that since that does not exist currently, those who are rebels, or the toing the line types will have a need to act.
besides, when you illicit passion you may get some great dialogue. it may teach some here not to be so sensitive, or other communication skills. i see many debates turning RED with anger, and to ultimately be resolved through understanding or apologies., That is called full cirle communicating. Sometimes there will remain ill feelings, but isn't that what we currently have.

Some don't like to be told anything and this would be their haven.

Their would still be rules like no porno, no physical threats and no crying about it if your feelings got hurt.

My 2 cents:

The post doesn't seem to be literally racist, in the sense you were making comments about a minority religious group instead of a minority ethnicity.

However, I think that minority religious groups can and do fall under the "etc" in the guidelines, because may people are born into religions and can not change them without suffering sever consequences. (Whether or not this is morally right is besides the point - the consequences are there for some of those people.) Hence, they can't make a choice, thus they fall under the guidelines.

You still personally attacked two members...So either way you look at you a warning was coming your way, and you received one...

I don't think anyone has believed, or does believe this is a democracy, thepeaguy.

If people assume positions of power, assert that they are going to exercise that power according to a specific set of guidelines, then blatantly ignore the procedures and definitions contained within those guidelines, they should expect some reaction.
