Disclaimer: I'm REALLY lousy at emoticons. I have, in sum total, X < emotions and I cannot 'read' emotions. For emoticons I need to hold the cursor over the emoticon so I know what it should mean. Except for the cartoon emoticons, like the elephant or smurf. And those really aren't emotions, per se.

I'd like to nominate Zen Mistress for the Alcyone Aspie award, for her calming influence.
In Greek myth, Alcyone was a Kingfisher who calmed the waves and wind for 7 days around the winter solstice while she nested by the sea (her father was Aeolus, god of the winds). Alcyone is also the brightest star of the Pleiades.

Yeah I feel the same way.
I look at this as fun really and those are the only people I could think right now on top of my head in the presence.
Oh and I nominate Tim_Tex for being one of the nicest members here. He made feel very welcome when I first joined WP.
And Strapples, and ebec, and Nico, and prof_pretorius, and Computerlove, and Greentea, and Sartresue, and Orwell so on...
They have their reasons after knowing most of them for quite a while. There's people here too but I don't know them that well yet.
And then some members that're no longer with us......

I believe everyone on this site deserves a nomination, but (like everyone) I know some people better than others, and so forth.
I would like to nominate:
Padium: For his cool avator, his artisticness, and the way he shows so much interest in other peoples lives and achievements (which is unusual for an aspie).
PhR33kY: For being an amazing and dedicated friend.
Hale_bopp: For always trying so hard to be a better person, while not realizing that she is already the person she aspires to be.
millie: For being an inspiration.
Shiggily: For being a strong, admirable, individual (and being the person I secretly long to be).
Tim_Tex: For never giving up, and always reaching out a welcoming hand to new individuals who come to the site (these endeavours say a lot about his personality).
BellaDonna: For taking so much crap from other people and always bouncing back, and being a genuinely beautiful person who cares about others.
ToadOfSteel: For being a singer (that's an automatic +10 points for me 
), and for always adding something interesting to the conversation.
Just_me: For always thinking of others, even in the darkest times of her life.
poppylungstuffing: for being unique and quirky in a way that is constantly delightful.
sinsboldly: for taking a thankless job and doing so well at it, also just for being cool.
DentArthurDent: for a simple thoughtful act that really touched me today.
Orbyss: Because she reminds me of one of my closest friends, and she seems wild and free to me, like a bird.
