Since your hairstyle is like Squall from FF8 do you own a gunsword? LOL! (It'd be awesome to own one of those for real.

You have no idea.
i have to agree with Sunshower, here.
Surely, the incredible beauty, coupled with the "invisible disability of AS" could actually lead to a whole host of other problems, particularly for young women. There could be issues of being targeted and manipulated sexually and/or on dates etc., sexual assault, date rape. Of course there may also be heightened expectations regarding "appropriate behaviour" from others, which may create added pressure to try to fit in and adhere to the group.
We need to be careful about assumptions regarding how it is for others on the spectrum......
Yes, being at least a relatively pretty/attractive woman with AS can cause a whole host of other "invisible problems" (alongside the usual ones you hear people talk about on WP). It certainly doesn't make dating any easier; the social complexities involved in the right ways to react when being hit on/having someone you just consider a friend try to take the friendship further/trying to deal with attention from more than one person at a time/and then ESPECIALLY with trying to deal with the things millie makes reference to, such as sexual manipulation, are beyond comprehension.
It's a whole new ball game, and it certainly doesn't someone make it any "easier" to find a relationship. Just because someone makes an advance towards you, doesn't mean your feelings are reciprocated. And vice versa. It isn't that easy.
And you don't even need "incredible beauty" to be in this situation. The combination of being pretty/relatively attractive and socially naive/socially blind is enough. I couldn't imagine the sort of difficulties and dangers someone like Heather Kuzmich would face on a daily basis.
I agree with all of this. I'm going to try to resist the temptation to make this another one of my 20-paragraphs of anecdotes posts, which I know I'm prone to do. But, even though I sometimes have my doubts and insecurities about whether or not I'm actually on the autistic spectrum, this is one topic that I know all too well. When it comes to being socially clueless, this was the area where I excelled.
I've never considered myself attractive, but when I was in my teens and early 20's, I was reasonably fit and good-looking, although not in a model kind of way. I was also unbelievably naive and gullible, and had no clue what appropriate or inappropriate behavior was when it came to how I was treated by men or how I conducted myself. I knew some basic stuff, so I thought I was wise. But I managed to fall prey to all kinds of sexual manipulation and abuse, as well as probably hurting some other people myself, without even realizing it until years later, because of a total lack of understanding about how the social-sexual-dating world works.
As far as the rest of the thread goes, I don't know. It's nice to see people's pictures if they want to share. There are a number of people on WP who I might put in the "beautiful" category, if I was inclined to categorize people like that, but it wouldn't have anything to do with their physical features, or whether or not they are capable of taking a picture of themselves without holding the camera two inches away from their chin. It would have to do with the way they present themselves in their posts. Some of them are people who are sure no one else likes them, and some are people who seem confident with who they are. Some seem to be obviously autistic and some not so much. Some are very young and some are older than me. Some are fat, and some are skinny. Anyway, that's all I'm saying about that. WP isn't a beauty contest.

I think this topic is often overlooked and needs some serious discussion. Maybe we should consider making it a thread in Love and Dating/Womens Forum? Any volunteers?
I currently find myself in this sort of position and I think that I do get sexually manipulated at times. One friend I hooked up with asked me why I reciprocated, and I said because I felt I could trust him, and he said I shouldn't.

One does not even have to be particularly good looking...I am fair to middling in looks and I was sexually manipulated starting at a very early age...and then later...vulnerabilty about being unattractive led me down a few regrettable paths..i think..

and my whole face:

and I always wear a t-shirt over a long sleeve, usually white.
the only other alternative is a tshirt and a jacket.

Sorry, I don't own the sword, but the hair
I'm me in my avatar (hmm, odd statement)
I'm one of those pretty-ugly people, I think. Some people think I'm pretty but I've also heard a lot of the opposite. I think I look better and probable more normal when I remember to correct my facial expression. A lot of the time I just stare blankly with really big eyes. I can kind of "act" pretty in the right context.
It's not terribly important for me to be pretty, but I'm careful to control my appearance and I used mirrors a lot as a kid. I just couldn't get a hold of myself. I don't really know what I look like, I can't put the pieces together, it's just random features.
My psychologist says I have a heavy control agenda. I guess make-up and clothing is a way of controlling what I look like. Sometimes I freak out when I catch a glimpse of myself, it's like my facial features a all over the place.
Umm, tangent.
I think I'd very likely be targeted for sexual exploitation if I met people's eye more. I can't tell when someone's interested in me or to what end. I'd hate to accuse someone falsely so I give them the benefit of the doubt. Can't tell when people lie or try to pull a fast one. But I've made it a rule to only engage in sexual contact when I fall in love and I rarely do. Also, since I haven't been single much and cheating is impossible, I'm not really on the market. And I've rarely been to any parties or clubs without a boyfriend, brother or trusted male friend. That tends to scare the bad men away.
The general consensus, which I agree with, is that I look great IRL and terrible in photos. I know a few other people like this as well, and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with AS/NT.
I also have a 67-year-old friend (NT) who always looks gorgeous in pictures. Her joy and enthusiasm for life just radiate from those pixels or papers. She practically *glows*.
However, for me, a 2-D still shot either completely sucks the life and beauty out of me, or it has the opposite effect and makes me look like a crazed, manic axe murderer or something.
BTW, everyone on here looks fantastic!

hmmmmm i suppose i can not think of any endearing thing to say about that pic (that bkfdghk....??" posted)..
it is however the product of someone's imagination, and so it matters not in the real world.
i guess all that i can say is i would not elect to kill the subject of the picture for any reason.
it is a creepy shot indeed.
