Do you all not like certain clothes because of sensitivity to touch, or is it because certain materials make you feel sick?

With me, certain materials make me feel sick. Labels in clothing make me feel so sick, and they disturb me just by looking at them. If I think of them whilst eating, I almost throw up.
I know a couple of NTs who hate buttons, and just won't wear anything with buttons on (so it's not an abnormal thing to not like something on clothes), and I feel the same with labels.

I have things that go together, i.e my pink jumper must be worn with my pink t-shirt, my purple jumper with purple t-shirt etc. I also wear the same clothes day after day (puting them relcantly in to the washing basket when they need to).

Its funny but I feel safe in clothes I have worn before. I have bought things I have liked in the shop but when I got it home I couldn't face wearing it coz it wasn't familar. Do feel like that with all clothes but alot.

I cannot STAND Converse All Star trainers. I'm sorry, I know they're popular, but I find them really ugly to look at. The versions of them by other companies look even worse, and I don't like them for another reason I cannot quite identify.

I find trainers ok, but they're too flat to me! I can't walk in so flat shoes. I always have to put instep inside.

I hate tags or plastic bra strap pieces that dig into my flesh.

I used to only wear elastic waistbands on pants as a little kid because the other waistbands felt restrictive to my comfort.

Just can't stand bras...hate 'em.

Coarse wool sweaters make me fidget until I give up and take them off.

Take care,

J.

Things I hate:

Pants
Button up shirts
Shoes that aren't Converse

I also hate socks that don't match, and I don't just mean they are different colors, I mean I don't wear socks that have been worn different amounts of time, I always check the wear patterns on the bottom to make sure that they match.... it drives me crazy if they don't.

Things I like (And by that, I mean the only clothes I wear)

Tripp brand shorts
Converse

Nothing tight or tailored. Soft and a bit loose only.

No snug necks. That's my number one issue. Must be button or v neck to have good room in the neck for me. If I were a man and was forced to wear a buttoned up shirt and tie I think I would just die. :P

Oh, they never force us....they just won't give us lucrative jobs or take us seriously if we don't. A price worth paying, IMHO.

Anything which is tight against my underarms, I find intensely painful. Also, tight jeans are incredibly uncomfortable and somewhat painful. Tight non-jean-pants can be okay or some level of uncomfortable (mostly the latter). Bras are also uncomfortable or painful if worn for many hours. Tight socks bother me, as do ones which are too loose. Shoes with high heels are also painful (to stand or walk in, not to wear). Tags on the side of shirts rather than the neck are painful or uncomfortable. Tags at the neck are sometimes uncomfortable. Cheap "lace" is painful. Shirts which are tight around the neck are around the borderline between uncomfortable and painful. Any clothing which doesn't feel symmetrical bothers me.

I also dislike clothing with logos, pictures, or (most) patterns, as well as clothing which is very brightly colored.

I'm sure there's more which I'm not thinking of immediately. Apparently I am a sensorially troubled individual when it comes to clothing. :?

I don't care how sexy men think they are - I wouldn't be seen dead in thongs! They make me feel so sick! Men will just have to find something else sexy about me.

(I got flamed in my face, and down my neck once for makeing this topic.)

I dispise the baggy pant trend. For one thing, most people really don't want to view their boxers! It's a huge turn off to me. Alot of them dressing that way believe they look cool and masculine to us. They look scrawny, weak, flat and cocky to me.

I hate wearing fabrics that rub my skin and cloths that are snug around parts of my body. With cotton, I don't mind so much. It doesn't take much to bother me.

must be very soft. my wife doesnt understand this criteria. She might think a certain fabric is fine, while i'd judge it to be slightly over the threshold of unacceptably coarse. Softness is the main thing. I guess others would be i never wear shorts, and i always wear my western boots. oh socks are tricky. Only a few brands i have found to be acceptable. Actually now that i think about it for most things i have found a certain sort that is best and i do not depart from it.

LOL - I worked with a young kid who took the way gangster baggy look to the extreme - I swear he bought his pants three sizes too big. You couldn't just see waistband - you had 2/3 of his boxers hanging out. I was constantly telling him to pull up his drawers. Nobody wants to see that. (He was a real sweet kid though...)

I don't mind baggy but ridiculously baggy is just - ridiculous.

I like T-shirts and cotton bermudas. I dislike officewear, but I now wear it.
