I couldn't stand being with someone like me...!

I would much rather have an understanding NT, and together with all my other preferences for a mate, a nice, understandting NT would be one of the easiest things to find...!

Remember the Seinfeld episode where he dates a female version of himself?

I don't ever want to date an aspie. I recently dated someone with social anxiety and I don't really want to do that again either. I know the chances are slim to none, but I'd much prefer an understanding NT. I'm sick and tired of people who I just run into these impossible dysfunctional communication circles with. It is exhausting.

Right they would have to be pretty functional for me too. I'm pretty functional myself.

I have dated an aspie in the past. I loved that we were both quirky, but not that we were both so stubborn. I would like to date another aspie in the future, but it's not a requirement.

I'm quite content being dateless.

Doesn't mean I don't fancy the idea of picking the brains of a few famous hunks, though. :P

Did I just have my bizzro Jerry remark edited :? this is not offensive if your one of those strange people that does not like Seinfeld, it was the one where Elaine has a new 'gang" she hangs out with their exactly the same as the "old" gang yet entirely different a similar difference if you wish.

I think that was the funniest episode ever come to think of it all of them are "ever'

At least if they were NT they would be good at social activities and help you see the world through their perspective....

At least if they were Aspie they would understand your need for time, quiet, personal space, etc... (but they may be rocking on the floor in public, which definitely isn't so fun)

I would probably be happy with somebody at the border between AS and NT (probably a bit more on the NT side). I don't think I could get on with somebody who is significantly AS/Autistic.

They would need to be (mentally) strong enough not to be destroyed by me.

My relationship with an extroverted NT lasted just a couple of months because I could not keep up with his social schedule, the whole thing was so draining. Though this experience taught me more that I'm not suited to extroverts, not necessarily NTs.

I generally only go out with non-Aspies.
Some of them have more serious emotional issues, but it's around 50/50 between emotional disturbance and NT.

It helps me learn.
