So you think a really unbalanced memory is more beneficial than evenly distributed memories? I disagree. You need both. Having one, no matter how great it is, will impair your functioning.

I'm not saying anything is more beneficial than anything else other than there are both benefits and disadvantages. And yes, you need both, but that fact is you have both, one is just better while the other is worse.

Then what advantages are there that each and every single person with autism has compared to absolutely no NTs? I can't think of any, and yet it keeps being mentioned.

The problem is autism is DEFINED as being a disability, so that's why the representation is biased to the potential disadvantages, but you are also fundamentally misunderstanding the nature of autism: there isn't one single *anything* that every person with autism has that absolutely no NTs have.

Yes, Ganondox, exactly! Sometimes I even have to remind my own mum to stop calling Asperger's a disability. Both Asperger's and Autism are too often referred to as such. I am often so annoyed at people who just focus on the challenges we have and look down on us for that instead of focusing on what we can actually do. Maybe I'll add a section in my newest book about how they are gifts, sort of as an inspirational thing. We are just different, not less. :D
