To be honest I will say that when I read the post that the mods already dealt with I did think that if that ugliness was tolerated then I or anyone else could easily be next.

You know how the pm propaganda machine works... me I much prefer to have it out in the open, dont care much much for political games.

Different types of people find it easy to use others.

No one is doing "PM propaganda" - some members were wondering why I called Sweetleaf racist in the other thread; so I simply PMed them the link to the thread where she did the racist post; because unlike her, I don't make such big accusations if there's no truth behind it.

WPers can form their own opinions and stances, they have their own minds and they are not children to be manipulated; stop trying to make it as if I am the villain here promoting a campaign against Sweetleaf.

My reaction to your pm, (which I didn't ask you for btw) is based entirely on the belief that you were satisfied by how the mods dealt with this.

You could have responded to the questions I asked in my reply and set me straight.

I've said it to you and Sweetleaf that her behaviour and words were unacceptable,
I think you will find most of the community has shared these sentiments. She has opened herself up to public ridicule, simply by her presence, she is being ridiculed but I wonder if that is not enough for you?

Straight up, if we tolerate this towards you quite simply, any non American could be next. I see that.
Do you see though thats it's not being tolerated? Do you see the community response, I can see it.

Does there need to be a witch hunt though?

There is private context unfortunately and details that have not been made public that influenced the action taken.
Usually mods prefer to extend the same benchmark given to one member previously to another member in a similar situation.

Amity, you're very biased, that's for sure. The other members who had made similar discriminatory posts have been banned. So do the right comparison, I feel insulted to be even compared to her behavior.

It sounds that it is you who is not satisfied by how mods are handling the matters.

And I don't give a damn about the "private context" that you keep bringing up to mitigate it, the thing is simple: Someone has insulted me and insulted an entire culture/entire region; and I reported it; and that same person kept attacking me openly, with the same narrative, in another unrelated thread weeks after.

Ever since I clashed with SL and you are kind accusing me that I am doing some kind of an evil plot while she's the victim. This to me is a mod piece and not a mob decision. The community has already responded to Sweetleaf with disapproval, what do you still care about appeals to public opinion for?

It's unfortunate that you view my words and actions that way, but here is a gem I learned a few years ago.

I've brought details into the open, as I find the witchunt approach disturbing.

It is not a witchhunt. I've forgiven Sweetleaf as she admitted she was wrong. Boo is asking for an apology and for people not to dismiss this so easily. I can understand it, since Sweetleaf did have a go at him again in that other thread for supposedly hating women and making it about him, when it wasn't. It is up to Sweetleaf, but I think it would settle this if she did apologise to Boo for what she said about him.

He isn't using political word play either, why are you trying to play this up Amity? And this PM propaganda you keep bringing up: I saw only Boo telling people what happened. He has not put words into anyone's mouths nor played anything up as you seem to be doing.

There are no "mobs" here. He wants an apology and an explanation from Sweetleaf, as far as I can tell. Am I right, FaceofBoo?

You are absolutely right. It would have been much better if Sweetleaf did a direct apology thread instead of making a goodbye drama thread while hinting the same sexist accusation against me. It would have ended there.

It was not Sweetleaf that came out with this, but I didn't like the way in that other thread how it was made out it was likely for Americans to be racist towards Arabs, as if it was normal and acceptable and gave an excuse for anyone being racist towards them. I found that offensive.

I think Max was trying to explain why it's common there, not saying it's acceptable.
