I never said they were commonly thought of as white. If they didn't always STRESS their difference, they generally WOULD be though. I simply said THAT most ARE white. To say someone is a different race because they speak a different language is STUPID!

Congratulations, you SUCCEEDED! As for recognizing biggotry? That is SIMPLE when you are SO hypersensitive to it. If a person has a blister, they OBVIOUSLY have HSV II!! !! !! Never mind the poisons, things like HPV, or mere sunburns! BTW I once had MAJOR blisters because of a massive sunburn. I DON'T have HSV or any other such disease. Most sunburns just cause peeling.

MANY hispanics live in the US without anyone being the wiser! Some can be picked out ONLY by the last name or when they speak spanish or say something that has spanish ties.

You're right, I don't say ALL, but still, even THOSE hispanics, that you speak of, are lazy to a degree. And you know what!?!?!? Americans are *****NOT***** treated as nice in Mexico. I am NOT saying MAY not be. I am saying they AREN'T!! !! !! ! Frankly, I am surprised mexico has so much tourism. Americans CAN'T buy property! They CAN'T run companies! They could be arrested for MINOR offenses! They need SPECIAL insurance!

BTW YEAH, I HAVE been to construction sites! EVEN ones in California. You even have trouble ordering a hamburger in California because they are likely mexicans that just came across the border, or might as well have. One person didn't even understand the names of the products, and she was in a mcdonalds in LAX!! !! ! I believe that was after 9/11/2001 BTW! One wonders what the TSA does!(The TSA is SUPPOSED to prevent such things!)

And I doubt many Americans go to mexico to live in public or work without learning Spanish even though, admittedly, many Americans(not closely tied to another ethnic group) are unilingual. Then again, one wonders how THAT came to be, since most whites in other areas readily learn relevant languages.

I have actually been self deprecating! If you look at many on this site, they KNOW their weaknesses. Even those claiming to be BETTER than NTs in many areas will say they suffer in others.

If they think they see arrogance, maybe they should look a bit farther. Maybe THEY are part of the problem.

I am MORE than happy to find better ways, learn new things, etc... I don't care if the person making the recommendation is a ret*d 6yo.(Not that it has ever been to that extreme, but if it were...). I will apologize , and even HAVE apologized , when faced with such a thing in light of apparent arrogance.

And HECK! If they came here, and tried to present bad ideas about AS, etc... they SHOULD expect the worst. I expect no different in the same circumstance.

Still, I have noticed that most of the Media try to make EVERYTHING autistic sound BAD! I guess it is like Intel that originally tried to make all other processors sound bad! Microsoft tries to make Linux sound bad. Car manufacturers do the same. To SOME degree, they are all right and honest. To SOME degree they are 100% WRONG and couldn't be more dishonest.

AMD, for example, has proven itself. In some cases it IS slower, less capable, less compatible. In others, it is far FASTER, more capable, and maybe even more compatible.

Don't even get me started on Linux. SURE it can't run some Microsoft stuff, but Windows can't run a lot of UNIX stuff. Linux is desinged to be like UNIX which is compatible with a nearly 40 year old standard MS Windows merely ASPIRES to and claims support with and is older than even Microsoft(the company) and still far better than Windows.

And some car engines ARE slowed down and given more torque so they APPEAR weaker but do more work with less polution generally.

Interesting that the three examples I give might as well have been talking about the medias talks against Autism, because there are SO many similarities!

NT's think we are arrogant but arrogance can happen to anyone. What I've noticed is that those on the spectrum are their own self critics and do actually try to help change some things meanwhile NT's just stand there and say I stand my ground even when they are wrong.

Everything wrong about a NT is projected onto someone else like if they feel like they are a bad person then they will pick on someone they feel is a better person than them and feel great doing so. Meanwhile, their behavior isn't deemed inappropriate because at least their hobbies and interests fit along with the current trends of society.

At least they spend money shopping alot and are don't question too much to find the right products for the best amount.

Whatever NT's. Your world isn't perfect so get over yourself. Chances are the person claiming everyone here was arrogant is actually upset with themselves for not taking the time to analyze and think things through and are actually quite envious.

I advise the person who thinks we are all arrogant to fix their own problems instead of taking their envy out on us.

Did that come across as arrogant? I don't care. Now go deal with yourself and quit worrying about how little you in comparisson to those who have something you don't have. Besides, at least you blend in and aren't harassed right?

I live in California, and I have had just as many problems ordering hamburgers from spoiled American kids that speak English fluently. I'm not sure why you still think the hispanics that break their backs building everything up from the ground are lazy. I've seen proportionately more lazy Americans living in this country for a certainty. Is it because they don't speak English fluently? I studied French for four years, aced all the tests and assignments, and didn't even come close to being fluent in French. You become fluent when you move to a place where everyone speaks it, and practice using it. (Often Americans think they speak a language a whole lot better when they are learning it in a class, but they don't really learn it until they go through the humiliating process of using it in real life situations.) But the practice becomes discouraging when people like you get impatient that they don't understand you perfectly. Besides, many are coming from places that had limited educational oppurtunities, can you blame them for focusing on what work they can get so that their kids can have more choices in life?

Nope, like most Californians, I'm a mix of all kinds of stuff, but mostly white. Even with some hispanic blood, I still consider myself one of those spoiled Americans (especially having been born here and all). My parents were far from wealthy, but I definately had it alot easier growing up than my grandparents did. I'm not disrespecting Americans at all, I AM an American and a white one at that. I'm just firing back the same argument because you can't seem too let go of this idea that so many hispanics are lazy, as if there is no such thing as lazy Americans. I AM lazier than most of those hispanics I mentioned in the trades. At least I admit it and aknowlege their amazing hard work.

Besides, I never called anyone a racist. I said the comment sounded subtly racist, then changed it to biggoted. If you don't like that, get over it. They're the underdog, and I am 99% positive most of them experience far worse and far more frequent biggotry than you or I. So quit trying to turn it around.

Well, you made ALL my points! You're claims have lost all meaning and any bite they could ever have hoped to have. (I mistakenly said laugh instead of have earlier. I guess that was a freudian slip! 8O Your last post really IS too funny. Were you really TRYING to prove all I claimed? ) It is astounding you can't see all that you said in the ONE post I quoted here!

You are trying to walk both sides of the street, and almost seem to WANT to get run over. Well, THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!

What points?? If you imply I'm a hypocrit for calling out some of my own people for the some same things your accusing most of an entire ethnic group, go right ahead. My point was that I can just as easily make insideous generalizations about us Americans as you can other groups. You quit perpetuating old and mostly untrue stereotypes, and I'll quit finding ways to compare those to many other people here. My counter examples were to make the point that those kind of generalizations are inherantly meaningless. If someone says most hispanics are lazy, and I say "you find me a lazy hispanic, and I'll find you a lazy American", that doesn't make me biggoted towards Americans. I'm just proving to them that their opinion is unjustified by giving them a measure of perspective. That perspective was either lost on you, or you simply find it easier to turn arguments around than make a valid argument back.

No more real arguments? (as if you had any good ones to begin with)
I have no idea why you think I put my foot in my mouth. Care to explain what exactly you think is so funny? There's nothing wrong with California being largely a mixing pot. Did you read that as an offensive statement? I could have said America too, but I've found that some states with alot of the bigger or more touristy cities have alot more racial and ethnic mixing. Don't know about you, but that's perfectly fine by me. I'm also perfectly fine with being an American. I just have a problem when people pick on other groups without seeing that if those faults are even there in any discernable measure, you can find them anywhere and everywhere. That's the difference between what I'm doing and what you're doing.

But if you're still really desperate, mabe you can write a few more LOLs. That will convince everyone.

No problemo.
I know what it is like, though it never really phased me. I was informed in no uncertain terms (and it makes sense), that they only do it because they're too dim to know any better way of expressing themselves. I certainly wasn't gonna let some christian start throwing around the idea that you did anything to actually deserve that... as you obviously don't.

Pith and 2uk, you crazy Yanks .... no arguing without me.
That just isn't sporting.

I'm not arguing! He STILL doesn't get it! I couldn't argue with him if I tried! I don't know if he SERIOUSLY doesn't get it, or just wants to push his agenda.

Ok pith I'll give you one clue...

NO, I NEVER doubted the US was a melting pot! I KNOW it is! I MYSELF am only like 4th generation American. MAYBE more, but I KNOW one side only goes back like 4 generations. German/Irish! So, does that make you feel better?

OBVIOUSLY saying the US. is NOT a melting pot would be disingenuous at the very least! You could NEVER find a spot in my entire life where I claimed otherwise. When I speak of Americans, I am speaking of a people in the U.S. that share a culture. Ethnically, they are quite diverse. Most were white SIMPLY because so many whites came over, and most of the areas they came from were primarily white. Germany and Ireland are two great examples. Great Britain, Italy, and EVEN SPAIN, are some others. I pick those not only because they support what I am saying, but because they are so big and prevalent.

Now, you started saying(It doesn't matter if you used the word for me, YOU brought it up, so it is the case.) that hispanics were recognized as another race.

You said that you WEREN'T hispanic, and THEN said you were a mixture INCLUDING mexican. You THEN act like this country would be NOTHING without mexicans! You THEN say that if I show you a lazy mexican you will show me a lazy american. Of course, you basically remove any worth of that claim by saying YOU aren't hispanic when you ARE. By your heritage, you clearly have hispanic blood, and your comments make it CLEAR you are biased that way!

So you make it clear that you DO feel PERSONALLY involved, ARE heavily biased, and couldn't be objective. Do I find that funny!?!? OF COURSE!

BTW I apologize to all those countries I didn't mention. It wasn't intentional. Heck, POLAND is another! Irulan is from there and I really appreciate Wozniak's work! Who knows, we might STILL not have computers without him! And I don't know about Irulan(Not that it matters), but most of THEM are white also. Sorry. Would it help you to know that many consider them stupid? I'm not saying Polish people are stupid. Wozniak once played stupid polish jokes on his answering machine, but he is clearly smart, and known for being smart. Without the polish people, we might all be speaking German. I doubt the NAZIs would have let the Mexicans continue to speak spanish.

OK, I guess I earned a few LOLs!

THAT is the crux of every freakin argument.

If you don't want to argue then stop trying to make him "get it".
It might not be a comfortable choice, but that really is the only way. The more that you press that sort of issue on someone, the more stubbornly they will resist. It doesn't matter how literally or objectively you're explaining it.... You're both trying to push your modus operandum on each other, while each defending against the other.

Haven't you done this enough to know by now?

Besides... I enjoy arguing, and want to argue, so I now officially declare both of you to be idiots who "don't get it".
