an hr and a half seems to be a good estimate for me if I'm heading for work. quite long. It seems normal to take maybe 45 min to get ready.

When I have some business I always leave bed 2½ hours in advance because it takes me at least 1½ hour to get myself in order. I have poor apetite in the morning and eating is usually time consuming. My hygiene standards also require me to put some extra time into it. Then we have the way I dress, I fix my clothes to the last detail before leaving home.

I need a minimum of 90 minute from waking up to getting out the door and like a bit more if I can so I can spend half hour just to stare into space...

On days when I am feeling fussy it takes me ages to pick clothes. I dress and re-dress several times and I get all stressed in the process. But luckily that doesn't happen very often. I had a friend who had Tourette's who faffed around for hours every morning.

However, I am usually able to get ready and go very quickly if required (e.g. if some friends phone and say, "We're downstairs and ready to go. Are you coming?") I don't feel compelled to wear make-up and I have long hair which can simply be tied up in a ponytail, so it's easy for me to jump into some clothes and leave (total of 15 minutes max. if I must shower as well).

I tend to take longer these days because I am a naturally messy person and I am desperately trying to keep my house neat. So I wash dishes and wipe surfaces, put away last night's clothes and make my bed, which I didn't necessarily do in the past.

Also, I make breakfast and wash up afterwards, and that takes some time. I am often late in the mornings, but I think it's simply a matter of bad planning and what I call "Adhesive Bed Syndrome"! I could change it if I concentrated hard enough.

It takes me around 30 minutes if my anxiety doesnt win out.

Not really. I can get up at half hour before I have to leave for work but I choose to get up an hour early so I can have some computer and TV time. I used to watch my shows I have on TIVO but because I don't have any, I am watching B&J.

I used to be a Pokey Little Puppy when I was little because I was not a morning person. I would sit on my bed and not really move because I was tired and my mother had to dress me. She did it up till my teens when I was able to do it on my own when my mom or dad get me up for school. But my dad never dressed me so I was on my own. Instead he throw out some clothes for me to put on but never really did a good job so I had to do it myself when I was more up. I hate picking clothes, always had that trouble so I tend to wear the same clothes now and I have lot of clothes I don't even wear.

I don't shower in the morning, but I always have breakfast, so it takes me about an hour from bed to door.

I wash the clothes I am going to wear everyday. I am usually at work 1.5-2 hours early. I usually lose something everyday (keys, work id, credit card) so I have to get ready for work about 3 hours early.

i work from my home. i do not feel prepared to rise before about 10-11 am.
all my clients are obedient of the rule that they can ring me from 10 am onwards.
i will stay in bed until i am ready to get up and i never get up before i wish to.

if they ring me at 10 am and i am still wanting to sleep, i tell them i will have their stuff ready by 3pm.

they are very happy with my performance, and my rule is that i will perform any request within 24 hours.

so if i calculate a task will take 4 hours, i will go back to sleep until i am slept well. then i do the task.

i like the way of life i have, but it is possibly not good for my character.
who cares. i will trade character for comfort any time.

3 minutes to an hour, it's all good. I don't suppose watching an episode and a half of animal cops counts as "getting ready", or I might say longer.

Yup...yup...I'm extremely linear minded, so I do only one thing at a time....thus taking ages to get ready.

Like Spokane Girl, I only 'need' half an hour between waking up and leaving for work. I get up at 7, and leave at 7:25, by which time I've eaten breakfast and cleaned myself up a little.

15-5 minutes depending on if I decide to have a smoke before leaving the house.

1 minute to dress (I pick whatever's on top)
2 minutes to brush my teeth and wash my face
1 minute to do my hair
1 minute to grab my phone, MP3, cigarettes and glasses and put on my shoes and jacket.

Smoking tends to take me an extra 10 minutes longer because I don't multi-task when I smoke, that's daddy's quiet time.

With my roughly the same - except you need to add 10 minutes for some coffee.

90 seconds from the time I'm out of bed to out the door:

Alarm goes off.
10 seconds to get up.
20 seconds to get dressed. I grab whatever's closest.
10 seconds to make sure I have my keys, wallet, and cell phone.
30 seconds to put in my contacts.
20 seconds to get downstairs and out the door.
