Which eye do you look at?

I myself have been curious as to which eye should you look at, and with which eye?

Four options, your left eye to their left, your left to their right, or your right to their left, and of course your right to their right.

It could be just a reaction, prefrence, a refrence to your dominant side of the brain, a question of sexuality or just if your right handed or left handed.

It may make no difference at all, or give people a huge impression.

Either way, I've been looking it up, and that's why I stumbled across this website....

I don't know which is the "correct" way to do it, but the way I've been adressing the situation is by using the old saying "Now we're seeing eye to eye" so I typically look with my right eye to their right eye but I've noticed there isn't a significant difference, if any at all it's not something I would stress over....As long as you have a person's eye contact you have their attention, but of course since I have adhd and all that good stuff my eye contact is constantly broken, so people get the impression I'm not listening, even though I always pay attention.

I think I look at both usually.

I think that I tend to look at people's right eye more than their left eye.

I think it's the left (their left), not sure though.

I look at the person's mouth. I'm not sure exactly why, but I think its because thats where the information comes out. If I absolutely have to look at someone's eyes, I look up and alternate between the 2 eyes. Or I look at their forehead. Usually they can't tell if I'm looking at their forehead or their eyes.
