Who here thinks a walkabout would help them know themselves better, like what you can and can't do and that? I think it would do that for me.

Ido especially when stressed because my rotines get on top of me so I leave my space logicallyto think and talk to myself elsewhere
I do it and yes it helps me think through situations in a more logical way

walkabout in the sence of a big journey on foot?

It takes people out of the ordinary environment. That is a good way to put things into perspective. It is a bit like the studying abroad thing I did. I made some big decisions there.

When I was in the military, I would always run and bike absurb distances. I ran at least 10 miles a day, by mountain bike I once rode about 120 km in a day. Helps me think.

By a walkabout, I meant where you get dropped off deep in the woods with nothing but a knife, or with nothing at all, and you're left there for a few days or weeks, and you see how you survive.
