Does anyone else have problems with others understanding themselves? Or even worse, in my case, people getting annoyed at you for you being too 'complex' to understand?
Quite often I'll say something and they'll laugh back and say, 'Yeah, didn't understand a word of that, but yeah', and it's been getting more and more frequent. It's even brought me to the point of wondering whether I have a speak impairment or not I'm completely oblivious too, despite people specifying it was because I talked about complex things or used 'big words'(though they're really only words not commonly used) and I ended up listening to my self speaking about something with a dictator phone, and while sometimes I'll be speaking too fast and skip a word every five minutes or so, it was perfectly comprehendible.
The latter example was one of the less annoying examples, in Religious Education, people tend to sigh and moan whenever I open my mouth to saying something, and they say, 'just say it in English!' and it's really annoying because I already tried to simplify and it just sounds dumb and freaking stupid when I make it even dumber. I cut down around a paragraph too, 'Too conventional, almost a social criteria' on a point I was making on my views on family(the negative side) and the teacher had to translate it. I genuinely don't mean to be confusing and it seems like what I'm trying to say looses its meaning when I say a degraded version of it...
Also, does anyone find it frustrating when people don't seem to know things which seem almost compulsory knowledge? I could go on forever about that :/.
I've noticed people with Asperger's(there's several in my Year at school) understand me and one or two of the less... teenage-like do as well :/.
I'm not trying to say I'm better than them, I'm sure I have trouble understanding them significantly more than they do with me, I knew formal speaking was common in Asperger's but I'm wondering of the extent.
