Has anyone tried this? I struggle a bit with cleaning, if it is not in some sort of routine, like cleaning the dishes after dinner or brushing my teeth after breakfast I find it hard. I was thinking of making a spreadsheet of some sort of schedule for some of the chores that I sometimes fall back on, and I had the idea that there may be some sort of app available for it. I found one called Tody which seems quite good. I just wondered if anyone has tried anything like this before, or has any tips on getting things done?

I have written up schedules and posted them in my apartment so that they're easy to see.

For me the best way to get things done regularly is to incorporate them into a routine and make them as easy and mindless to do as possible. I make sure to keep a stock of cleaning supplies so that I don't get derailed from chores by lack of sponges, for example. I do the chores the same way every time so that I don't have to think about what I'm doing. I soak dishes in water immediately after using them so that they are easier to clean. Etc.

Sometimes I put stuff right next to where I sleep so that I see it first thing in the morning and am reminded to take care of it. As a teenager I had my sister help me develop the habit of brushing my teeth at bedtime.

I'm still not good with chores, however, mostly because they are so unpleasant to do and easy to put off since most don't need to be done everyday. I figure that it's ok as long as my apartment isn't filthy and I don't have guests. I'd rather spend my life on enjoyable and enriching activities than on cleaning.
