...as the YouTube itself is my obsession... and I have just about launched my new channel there...
So far Im breaking all my own rules as I wasnt supposed to bring on any videos including myself in this way
and I wasnt supposed to talk about my obsession here on Wrong Planet....

But as its very spontanious and AS related I thought of sharing it on this forum .....*spooky*

I notice so clear that Im so incredible intense in my talkings that I hardly breath in a way that basically only a special interest can bring on

...Am I the only one who acts so weird when my special interest is brought into subject?...

If you wish to support me and my YouTube artwork, then you do it the best with logging into YouTube and give rates and comment there

but please dont mention my name "xalepax" or "Wrong planet forum" on YouTube as I due to strong privacy need to strictly separate my diffrent internet activities
but its okay to say "X" if you wish to address me in public there, so I know you found the video via WP...

Cool! I am pretty obsessed with the YouTube myself...only I post videos more than I watch them. It is an interesting phenomenon though

I have mixed feelings about You Tube. I like it for the same reasons you do, of course. But I don't like the way so many movies get really rude, unkind comments in response to them. I've seen some really good movies, or movies that maybe aren't so amazing, but you can tell the person put a lot of effort into it and that it's special to them---but then people write mean comments like, "WTF?" and that kind of thing.

So, can you moderate the comments, and just not allow the bad ones to show up? (Not that you would get bad comments, of course--but it seems like there are people who just go around making bad comments to everyone, even if their movie is good.)

This is the first uploaded video of mine since october last year as I have been busy with transfering a previous YouTube channel of mine to somebody else as I lost intrerest in its subject
After that it took me some plenty of months to build up and prepare my huge videoarchive for this channel

All this have prevent me from posting videos but this is about to change now...

Yes, we are cousins and both have AS and found great friendship even if we are very diffrent to each other and live very diffrent life. She still havent seen the YouTube for real but we hope to meet up soon so I can show it to her on the computer



Yes I know exactly what you mean with this I have also seen it and its sad. I have edited my video with these rude comments in my mind actually. Taken off parts that could only offend my poor cousin and things like that. She wanted all of it online but I said no as I know that YouTube can be rough

Another thing I dont like with YouTube is that many simple and really messy videos (with not well thought about content and or quality) get featured and highlightened while we who put many hours in our videos wont get noticed in the same way... *dont understand all fuzz around "Fred"*

When I asked "can you moderate the comments...." I actually meant, "Can one moderate the comments...." or "Can a person who is making a You Tube video moderate the comments..."

I mean, you answered the question, of course, since if you can do it, then it can be done. But it sounds like you thought I was asking about you personally. I hope that's not confusing.

That's one of the things that English really needs and doesn't have; different words for the various meanings of "you". I know in some languages it's not a problem, because there are different words for the singular "you", the plural "you", and the people-in-general "you".

^ elderwanda: Well I read that "you" as both personal and in general in fact. I understand what you mean with the lack of clearance in diffrent meanings of "you" and I have noticed that too. Mostly you can figure out if its pointing personally or generally by the whole sentence <--- like in that I just wrote

Anyway, I choosed to reply it in a personal way as I didnt know about the general part. Although your question made me very curious and I wanted to find out about the general part of your question.

Because I was sure I have seen somewhere on YouTube where you can filter out some specific words to not be shown in video comments. I dont know if I just dreamed about that or its an illusion because now when I wanted to confirm it to reply you I couldnt find it. I digged the whole YouTube for it....

So I dont know about the general part - yet. But as I love all of YouTube I will keep digging it about this issue.
There is a function that allows me to control who can give comments (friends and non friends) and to disable all comments but I choose to allow all of them and remove manually if nessesary
