Deaf Aspergers group

I've set up a facebook group for those who have Aspergers and also are Deaf. I'm aware that there are some of us on Wrong Planet who have discussed being Deaf, and I've met several Deafies with AA, but there is no common group for us, and we've found it almost impossible to access or enjoy the usual aspergers or autism groups because communication is of course the issue that keeps us away from any participation

deaf people reffer to themselves as deaffies?

If you do a search on Google for deafies (note the spelling) you will find lots of websites with the word deafies in it. Its totally acceptable

Dont see what the problem is I'm an aspie and that is an aceptable word too

Finally a way to enter the u.r.l roughly without being cringingly labelled a potential spammer

I don't know if this person is a spammer or not but I have been involved in the Deaf community and several members in the community call them selves Deaffies (I attended Gallaudet University as a grad student - mostly all Deaf). Similiar to Aspies saying "Aspie" I guess.

I am a parent of a young man with this lifestyle. Is there anyone out there that would like to chat about it? I need help in helping him to understand life and build up relationships with similar people.
