I hope it goes well. I've been through the entire process, including MRIs, EEGs, full neurological workups with several neurologists, etc., etc. It can take a lot of time and effort, depending on what if any other issues you are facing.

But it's worth the effort. I hope it all goes well.

good luck! I still haven't heard back about from scheduling for my assessments. I'm looking forward to mine, so I'm excited for you. I hope you get some useful information from the process.

Mine were simple, but took forever to do. I guess the hard part is to just participate with the process, and not second guess things.

Thanks everyone! :D
One thing i have been and will continue to do though is to avoid reading anything about what they need to see for a DX as i don't want it to affect my behaviour, i don't want to come across as forced.
Is this a good idea?

I am not sure. I didn't read up on Asperger's criteria etc. when I went for my first assessment (late 2006/early 2007), but I had already been self-diangosed previously for two years so knew quite a bit. For my second assessment (late 2007) with another agency, I had already been diagnosed by the previous agency and had been an active participant in AS communities, read up a lot about it, etc. Not consciously in preparation for hte assessment, but of course it was still in my mind. I hav eno idea whether it influenced my presentation to the assessor.

I hope i wake up and get there in time!
This is not fun, but i hope it will be worth it in the end! :)
