What is it that you actually want from your life?

This has been a difficult question for me, I've been even told "Your problem is, you don't want anything", while that's untrue, they have a point.

I'd want;
- travel to every country and see everything there's to see in this world, talk with many people
- a woman who can understand me and support me during my moody periods
- a big house where I could do the things I love to do (workshop etc) in a peaceful area, next to a lake
- Animals because they are so easy to talk to
- lots of good friends who'd live nearby so we could arrange all kind of things together
- Knowledge
- and since we live in the system, money to pay for all this.

Basically after I'd seen the world and made my fortune and found my woman, I would just isolate myself from the world and only have close circle of people to interact with, but there lies a problem with this, I find it selfish.

What I'd really want is a FREE world.

Simply writing this brings tears into my eyes and I assure you, that doesn't happen often.
All the pain, all the suffering, all the evil doing...

is it really too much to ask?

I used to think I wanted to father 3 kids and
have a lovely chubby wife.

I used to think I wanted to have/own a big
electronics business, making electronics
with a very low failure rate.

I used to think ---------

Now I think I want to just be the little
boy I have always been.

I didn't want to grow up since I knew I'd eventually have to, time came when I was forced to, and now, I'm probably(?) just looking to settle things so I can be this little boy again, only with different toys.

I want to be rich and successful. I want to show the world I can make something of myself, and that Asperger's does not mean failure.

-massive muscles so I don't get pushed around.(halfway there).

-My own town home in a safe area

-My own dog and maybe a cockatoo.

I want to be focused and interested. I want my life to be alive with the possibilities around me. I want to be creative every day. I want to be a part of the world and for the world to be a part of me. I want to be alive within my own life.

I am surprised at some of the different things people want.

I guess you kind of assume everyone wants money......but it appears that isnt the case. Some people want skills, to change the world.

I guess I just want to not be a loser

"If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut."

- Albert Einstein

edit: few more, I once sent these to a person who wished me to be successful.

Real success is finding your lifework in the work that you love.
- David McCullough (1933 - )

There is only one person who can measure your success. That person is you.
- David McCullough (1933 - )

I owe my success to having listened respectfully to the very best advice, and then going away and doing the exact opposite.
- G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936)

My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that 'achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others, and that's nice, too, but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.'
- Helen Hayes (1900 - 1993)

Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.
