Do I have Aspergers?? I am a new member, see the intro post in the " getting to know you", section.
Here are the symptoms that I have: :D

usually has a warm relationship with parents, but has great difficulty with peers
may come physically too close to others, step on other's feet, or get "in their face"
I step on other people feet constantly!
have difficulty initiating or sustaining a conversation
ask inappropriate questions
repeat syllables, words or phrases, especially when stressed
have difficulty identifying his/her own feelings
have difficulty imitating facial expressions or gestures
have difficulty understanding the emotional meanings of facial expressions and gestures of others
have difficulty keeping eye contact- I can only look at people for about 5-10 seconds, even my parents
have difficulty understanding the tone of voice indicating irony or sarcasm- I don't understand sarcasm at all.
have difficulty understanding jokes that are not based on puns- yes, I don't understand jokes either
use words or make up new words in an unusual or literal way
may have an extreme interest in one or a few particular (often unusual), I am obsessed with parrots, and the human body/anatomy.
symbolic play may be delayed, repetitive, stereotypic and lack creativity
may be very resistant to change and have tantrums when plans or the environment are changed suddenly
may lack common sense- I sometimes have fits when this happens.
may be either unusually sensitive or insensitive to sensory input, like loud noise, commotion, moving objects, colors, tastes, smells, touch, and pain- I have a very very very high tolerance for pain, and I can't handle high pitched sounds like babies crying, etc.
may resist being touched or hugged, or often hug from behind or without putting arms around the person being hugged, I used to do this, but now I hug my neighbors and parents but that is all/
have unusual or heightened sensory experiences, like detecting an unusual odor
enjoy being preoccupied with repetitive behavior, especially when bored
have difficulty copying from a vertical surface (blackboard) to a horizontal surface (paper)
may have difficulty with visual puzzles
may be less coordinated
have unusual skills, like very early reading, ability for calculating math, unusual memory for facts, perfect musical pitch, or unusual drawing ability- I memorize really strange things, like exactly how many and what type of food is in our pantry, like my mom asks me how many gallons of milk do we have, and I picture the refigerator in my head, and count how many we have in my head. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 7, but now I think they totally misdiagnosed me. I also prefer talking with older people, and I can't relate to people my age at all, and I am seen as weird, The people my age don't like the same things that I do, they don't find anything I say, interesting, they are all talking about boys, and different bands that they like, but I don't like.
I prefer to talk/interact/spend time with people that are in their 50's, and I feel 10000% comfortable with them, whereas with people my age (18), I feel very uneasy with them, even though they are a good Christian group of people!

I have all of these symptoms that I listed above, tell me what you think, please.

Thanks!

I started laughing when I read this. When I was a kid all my friends had white hair. As a teenager most of my friends had white hair.
A number of years, maybe sixteen, ago my oldest son remarked that he saw a white hair on me, and I immediately ran to the mirror to look for it and found a few more and rejoiced in it and said I could not wait for more. My son looked surprised and said I was "different". Now I have white hair and silver hair and gray hair and light brown and still a little bit of dark brown hair. It's so pretty!

Oh yeah. I'd say you do. But I'm not a psychiatrist so you would have no reason to believe me. I do think we could be good friends. Tell your mom hi for me.

5-10 seconds!!...

I can't even last 2!, and I thought i was good at it.
Wauw........

EDIT: A very good list, if you ask me. What about making friends?, How many do you have?, Do they visit you often? (Man, I failed at that one, I always visited them, but they never came to my house).
EDIT 2: Well I still am failing, cause I think i have one friend who actually comes to my house, at times... Why the * didn't I realise that one before now?

I am terrible at making friends, I don't have any friends my age, I have 2 friends my sisters age, and 2 friends in their 50's, which are my neighbors. I don't feel comfortable at all, with people my age, and I can't talk/relate to them easily either!

Tips? Eat, breathe, take life one day at a time, and don't worry if you suck at dating. We all do.

I think you could look at some of the aspie traits you have, and decide why they're blessings.

For example, hyper sensitivity in some senses can be great... I always know when the weather is going to change, and what it's going to change to. It's only recently that I've stopped being able to hear bats (I miss them!) Apparently most people stop being able to hear them as kids.

The ability to become very focussed on something to the exclusion of all else gives you a chance to become expert on something, which will boost your self esteem, and may have other benefits, depending on how sellable your skill is.

And you can obviously learn and adapt to NT society to some extent, since you've learned to hug people ... It also sounds like you have a supportive family, so I think you'll do just fine.
