Is it common for people with Dyslexia, to SAY things backwards, instead of read them backwards???

I'm not sure if it was due to dyslexia but when I was at middle school there was a boy in my class who was dyslexic & he sometimes said his sentences the wrong way around. My step dad is dyslexic but he speaks fine.

Ok, thanks! Cause, I say things backwards all the time, and I wonder if it is part of my Dyslexia?

I don't have dyslexia, but I often see one thing and transpose numbers when I say them aloud. Sometimes I know I need to write 129 and I wind up writing 192.

That's quite common, I believe. Not an AS trait as far as I know.

If it is not a trait of AS, then does anyone know what causes it? I do this also, all the time!

My guess is that being human causes it. :)

My father, who is more autistic than me or my mother according to the ASD quiz the 3 of us took, is mildly dyslexic. He was so dyslexic in first grade that he couldn't read by the end of 1st grade and failed first grade (and had to repeat the entire year).

I'm dyslexic but I don't say any words backward.

Of course, dyslexia might be a catch all terms for many different disorders.

I think dyslexia is a bit of a catch all. There are so meny different types of dyslexia. Dyslexics often have problems verbally and audibly too.
