I was writing a blog post and I thought I'd share it with you:

Does anyone else act like this? Or have an explanation for why I do?

I thought that was sweet how you won't call anyone by name until you know everyone's name. I think it is important to be true to our own views of fairness no matter what. That's part of what makes aspies tick!

Don't take life so seriously. It isn't permanent!

Yes, I do this alot too :)

For example, when I'm in a movie theater with my family and we have candy and other junk foods, I'll always be the one to continually pass it around, make mental notes of who consumes whatever portion, and try to make it as evenly distributed as possible over the course of the movie. And if no one else is eating that much of it, I'll restict myself from eating any more until everbody else has had a handful

Also around Christmas, I'll try to make sure everbody receives a gift that has the same monetary as well as sentimental values. That way nobody would think A, I was cheap, B, I didn't put any thought into their gifts, or C, I favored anybody else over them. It also helps keep me guilt-free, which is good because I can always feel guilty really easily and once I do, I dwell on it.
