I willl be spending some time in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I caught
the Express bus by 8am and arrived by 8:32. My ADA card
gives me a discount, or .50¢ + a transfer.

Minneapolis between 9am to 1pm is so much opposite of
St.Paul. When I mention St.Paul here, I got a few remarks
like mine, "a place where people sleep". I find it's day energy
and oddly placed coffee shops allll........have wifi; even the
small bike repair/coffee shop on N.Washington-a little past
Hinnipin ave.

This makes the St.Paul one pale in in it's shadow.
it is near 16th and Hinnipin ave area. It is a little past
downtown. or a 20 minute walk to light rail.

It is 3 buildings and has a fffaaattttttt, not slim catelog.
it is the same $134 per credit and offers much more.
What is also present is the whole building is wifi'd.

The one in St.Paul was one building,no wifi and no
nightlife at the same $134 per credit.

They ask the same 40 transferable GE courses and
the same 24 electives. The first page I blindly hit
was the Multi-media and video making degrees.

What it didn't actually tell you was that if you took those
courses as your 24 electives you would have no transferable
credits to another state, or other minnesota schools. they
are AAS's and will not transfer properly like a AA degree.
But.....they can make a AAS degree and your 40 credits
transfer as real credits to a state college or university.

I found this tidbit out by asking questons to a councelor
and he pointed out pg 40, and the courses were on pg
200+. Nice not to be informed ot these things.

Near the college on 13th and hinnepen, is Expresso Royal.
It is a free wifi spot like ONE on ONE. The difference is
it is a college location type place. It closes midnight
Friday and Saturday, and 11pm Sunday to Thursday.
1228 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN

Whilst I am writing this memo, I am at my first odd find
when I first set foot in Minneapolis in July or August.

Wild Roast Cafe
518 Hennepin AVe east
Minneapolis, MN

This place is a little on the divy neighborhood side, but
it has Wilde flair. I mean Billy Wilder-the gay playwright.
and to reaffirm this there is a gay books shop next door
called Query Books.

I don't really care, since it is a interesting feel. I am not gay,
nor care to venture there, but it has the same intellectual
quality as Expresso Royale and free wifi.

Well, it is 1:10pm and I must be trotting the not-so-troddened
paths of Minneapolis, MN

Until later,

Stan,

I am glad you found a place in the Twin Cities that meets your needs. I think you can take care of yourself when off the beaten path but be careful as there are street gangs in Minneapolis.

BTW - I think where you were at in Saint Paul was not an area that you can make a judgement on for the whole city. Maybe you should try the warehouse district and places like that before you lay judgement on the city as a whole.
