I am watching a documentary about the Rosetta Stone right now. They are talking about this guy and describing his single mindedness. Spending hours alone, analysing the hieroglyphics... his interest in hieroglyphics apparently began when he was 14.

I was watching it and thought: ASPIE!

From time to time I have seen academics, curators and scholars in wikipedia who struck me as pretty aspie too.

focusing hard on tasks you're interested in is hardly just an 'aspie' thing. probably just a pretty brilliant dude.

You probably had to have seen the documentary. He didnt seem to have much of a personal life, and there is little about it in the article... was a lone figure in the documentary too.

Agree, although Aspieness could be related to this trait (in a positive way).
