I find I never get to do my hobbies because someone's always home. i cant play the guitar when someone is alone. i hate drawing, working on my rc cars, running on the treadmill, playing the bass or guitar, or doing homework if someone's home. it's really frustrating. because someone's always home! and my parents always come in my room to "check on me" (my mom is actually trying to catch sight of my computer screen, because she thinks i look at porn, cause i'm so reclusive...silly mother  )

Not sure what your living arrangements are but is it possible to do a lot of these things outside? Closing my door is enough for me. My family stays outside during nice weather most of the time. And if they're too noisy there is always music or earplugs.

Me too. To me that's because they always comment about my interests, immediately or somehow dragged in when they want to make their point about something else. And their comments never sound positive to me.

You could always use some headphones for playing guitar. That'd what I do. But then again no one ever bothers me in my room, ever, so I'm don't really know if that'd help you. Maybe you should deliberatly leave some porn on your PC for your mum to find, just for lols (and possibly to prove a point but I doubt that).

I would NEVER tell my mum I watch porn

Forgive me if this is unappropriate, but when it comes to not disturbing my parents downstairs, I connect my headphones to my drumset when I play them :P

Well, I personally prefer using headphones, I'm that kinda guy 8)
But maybe you should consider doing things despite not being perfect. I mean, otherwise you never do them and they'll never be done. If that makes any sense...

maybe headphones are better, i have these sennheiser earbuds. so i suppose i'm not getting the best headphoen experience out there....
my dad has a tendency to open my door and watch me if i play anything, or anything that brings attention to myself. and if i ask him to leave me alone, he just listens with his ear pressed against the door.
are those headphones expensive??? can i haz some specs plz?
