Whenever my mom sees me crying I say I'm fine and leave it at that. Most ALL the Psychiatrist I've dealt with I say I'm fine and then they give me my prescription and I leave. IMO my life IS NO ONES DAMN BUSINESS! Obviously there are issues and I'm upset easy etc. as WP can see from my many posts LOL! But Truthfully I rather confide in strangers on a messageboard than my Psychiatrist which IMO will just try to put me on another pill and therapy gives the advice of "just be yourself." WHICH SUCKS! So I was curious WP members while dealing with your Psychiatrist or whichever do you say everything's fine then leave? :-) IMO true behavior help for me would be WOW you upset your Psychology teacher and got kicked out of College lets WORK ON your behavior so you don't make mistakes in the future. (Sadly that's a pipe dream. Oh well!)

Did you say that you wanted to work on your behaviour? I'm just curious.

Yes, I keep my negative emotions and thoughts to myself. The motto I follow is "Never complain, never explain."

Perhaps you should ask your parents to take you to a cognitive behavioral therapist, who can help you with modifying your behavior while working in conjunction with your psychiatrist with regards to medication.

Yes. I am with you on that one. There are certain things I don't tell anyone. They always say 'you can tell me anything'. But when you do look out and then it'll be brought up forever.

Some things are going to the grave with me. Nobody else's business.

Mind you own damned business!

Just kidding.....really I'm quite open about a lot of things (still working on stopping myself from divulging inappropriately), though there's a lot I don't talk about. A lot depends on the person I'm talking with - an authority figure or other potential enemy will typically get very little out of me, but somebody who's more down on my level will probably get too much.

I definitely keep to myself, especially when upset or when dealing with something. I can't stand it when people try to get me to open up or share what I am thinking. If I wanted to share, I would. If I wanted your opinion, I would ask!

The title is about keeping to yourself and I mention that I keep to myself when upset in meltdown mode crying or with life issues I don't bother telling the Psychiatrist since IMO it's NONE OF THERE DAMN BUSINESS!

If you haven't already, maybe you could talk to your psychiatrist (or someone) about that, maybe they will help you find someone who will help you work on your behavior rather than give you another pill. Or, maybe you can find another psychiatrist, if it's possible, because this one doesn't seem very good.

Yes, I do happen to keep myself to myself when i'm around strangers and but im pretty much open to the ones who i'm really close to and the ones that I know I can trust. Thats how me and my girl got together :D because of the love and the trust.
Have you got already somebody that you trust, maybe you could talk to them about it.

I'll tell my parents about my problems, but sometimes it can be hard to tell other people because it can be somewhat embarassing. This, I believe has led me to hide my emotions so not many people can see that I'm worried.

I've just came across this problem today, im the complete oppisite, I hide my problems from my parents because they for some reason assume that my girl was involved in everything, which she wasn't. As today I found out this guy faked being friends with me, most of my friends did  but they still assume it was the girl and they thought I was defending her because i refused to let out my problems.
