My version is just a difference. I am high functioning despite my issues and am not "disabled" in any part of my life that matters to me.

Honestly....a disability.

A curse which I would consider selling my soul to be rid of.

Assuming there's such a thing as a soul of course.

A disability, and because it is a disability it is a difference.

Difference, I'm glad that I'm not NT. I would kill myself if I had to be one of those "gangsta" people who have sex all day, get bad grades and graffiti everything in sight like they do.

I like the way I am even if it is difficult to live with.

To me it's a debilitating difference, meaning that I can do a lot of things that the general population does, but it requires an unusual amount of effort.

Noun: disability
1. The condition of being unable to perform as a consequence of physical or mental unfitness.

hmmmmmmm

I don't care for the definition no more than the title / label. :?

A difference for me (but I'm very very high functioning Aspe): I can do what other people do but with more effort, but NT can't do what I do, so... I win.

I think it's a condition with both disablilties and things that are mere differences. So I think it can be misleading to say that it's all mere disability.

This.

Maybe - like being tall? Standing alone, being tall is just a deviation, and therefor a difference from the average. You could even have a population of tall-only people in which they wouldn't stick out. However, being tall in a society of people who are shorter or even considerably shorter than you has a high potential of leading to problems, maybe even to the extent of being a disability. So, maybe like 'being tall' but perhaps in two or three different ways, and the problems thease features cause to the individual may augment each other.

I am definitely different from most individuals and happy to be,but I also know and some may say I have many disabilities neurological, sensory, mental and intellectually learning disorders, I guess a complex neurological puzzle to many.. myself my only disability is societies ignorance and narrow mindedness.... my advice stick with like minded individuals as they do understand the brilliance :D
