it is extremly bad day for me. I am in a govt surpported work program , where they help me ( gas money , work related help when neede , etc ) they also subsudized my employer , and helped pay for my wage. ( I want to work and not be on disablity ) but this only is forfor 90 days. So what happens when i worked within a day or two of the 90 days. Yip i got fired today . Why is life so unfair ? I dont ask to be an aspie , I work hard , and nothing really matters.

I'm sorry you're having such a bad day and that you got fired. Did your employer tell you why you were being fired?
It doesn't seem fair that you should be fired 2 days short of your 90 days. Why do you thing this happened?

thx for replying ..... the reason was a simple "you are not getting along with other co-workers" .... keep in mind i work in the tourism related industry and now it is the off season. They basically used me for my skills I provided and now it is conveient for them to kick me to the curb. My program that I am is very disappointed and will not work with the company in the future. They knew my diagnosis and my strengths and weaknesses. I am more upset with the timing then anything. Im not sure what my options are and if I try and go down to there level. But I need to protect my interest. Now I have to start my job search all over again , maybe better luck next time. But thanks for the listen cosmicat :)

Well that's good. That's validating for you at least.

Of course you do. And you need to protect your professional reputation. So I suppose you can't really use that company for a reference.

Well, good luck finding a new job and I hope the next one works out better for you.

That stinks. Was it to the company's financial advantage to fire you right before your 90 days were up? My father was one of the many who were forced into early retirement. This was after 27 years with the company. I also know that many companies will hire a temp until the time that they are eligible for benefits and then send them away and get another temp to start the process all over.

I was only getting $9 an hr , and the company was getting half it paid by the vocational program that I am in for the first 90 days only. It is only for companies who normally not give somone like me a chance. They are not taking much of a "risk" when they only have to pay $4.50 of my salary. My work program always did bi weekly checkups , and they never said anything negative about my job performance until I was fired today. They had always said I was making good process as an employee. But yes i feel i was a 'temp' worker and feel that my trust for employment has taken a hit. But thanks for all the kind replies. you have all helped.
