Hi everyone I am a mom of 2 boys one is 6 with asperger's and the other is almost 3 with autism. My fiance also has asperger's but not DXed. Everyday I have a group of ABA specialist that come and help teach me and my kids different things. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had anyone work with them one on one for behaviors or to learn speech. Any input would be great about if you liked it or not , if it helped you in any way.

No, but my grandson's school used ABA and let me come in and observe the classroom to get tips on how to work with him at home. They also did home visits for conferences, which was wonderful for learning how he was doing and what we might want to concentrate on at home. ABA and PECS worked wonders with my grandson. He's very bright but with classic autism he doesn't do so well socially. He's trying to fit in in kindergarten right now and he's having a hard time because they really don't seem prepared to handle his special difficulties. I miss his old school system.
