I'm sure somebody else must have noticed this expressions on older cartoons, and possibly can give some kind of reference (preferable a smiley, but a video sequence will be just fine as well)? I cannot find this as a smiley anywhere, and I don't remember the cartoon I've seen it in.

Does this sound familiar to somebody?

I'm preparing for a smiley-test in Aspie-quiz to show differences in interpretation of smileys.

Feels to me like a "something (me) is about to totally break down" situation might be what is implied.

Seems like it would be a sort of "I'm half a block from meltdown and walking faster and faster" sort of thing.

"Two minutes from Chernobyl and the clock is ticking faster"

No, I cannot identify with the posted smileys. Think about a situation where somebody holds something fragile (like a stick, pen, whatever), and is bending it almost to the point where it will break. Especially imagine something you don't like the sound of when it breaks. That's the sort of expression I'm looking for.

You mean more like a preemptive wince?

The first thing that came to my mind was Wile. E. Coyote looking down and realizing he's gone off the side of the cliff, right before he falls. I dunno if that's the same idea or not.. the "uh-oh, that's about to happen!" thing.
