OK,I'll try to keep this short. I have a 15 year old who is an Aspie. I know it's genetic. The more I learn about this the more I think I may have it as well.So here are a few things that make me think I may have it:
I have learned to be a social person, and have no problem talking to people, even strangers, but I struggle to keep eye contact. Unless it is a family member. If it is not family I feel very uncomfortable when I look at them and see that they are looking at me,almost as if they are burning holes right through me .
I can talk to people with ease now (as long as I only glance at them ) but can remember when I was perfectly happy going 1-2 weeks only talking when I had to. I was perfectly happy not speaking.
I have alot of problems with organization. Its not that I dont try,I just cant seem to get it.I actually envy those wemon who have everything in order and wonder how they remember it all.
I miss out on some social cues, not all but some, well in paticular ,flirting. I have a boyfriend now but I remember friends in school laughing and teasing because a guy would be flirting and I saw it as a normal conversation and missed the flirting completely.
I tend to ramble,so much so that people will just cut me off . I cant stand certain materials or fabric touching my skin and if it does I completely obsess about it.Like wool or polyester. I cant think of anything else till its gone.
Anyway ,just a few things to give you an idea.if you dont think its AS anyone have any other ideas?

Thank You for the kind welcome. I too always felt a little different than everyone else. I always liked that about me  I think the reason that I never struggled too much socialy is because I always had an interest in people. The way they think, react, their differing personalities. I remember at a very young age watching people in my family. Usually when I wasnt speaking, this is what I was doing. Not being able to look at people is what makes me crazy though ,because alot of times instead of listening to them I am thinking that I should be looking at them and I'm trying to force myself to not be rude. Anyway, thanks again for the welcome :D

Unfortunately, it's very hard, if not impossible, to diagnose someone over the internet. Usually the eye contact issues tend to indicate an ASD, but that is not always the case. You might want to seek a professional evaluation.
