Hi, this is my first post on wp :P Sorry about my broken English :(

I'm facing a boring situation. I had therapy with a psychologist for some years, and moved to a new one which I like a lot.

Both psychologists in any way accept the idea that I am asperger. The current almost came to tell me that if I persisted with it, I should seek another psychologist.

I took an IQ test, and specific test with a psychologist specialized in AS. Both of them told me that it seems that I have AS, but the diagnosis is not so clear or obvious.

Although I do not have some symptoms such as:
difficulty to look into another one eyes
auditory sensitivity
difficulty with metaphors is only moderate
I fell that I have all the other symptoms, my life was and still is a mess, I can relate to every topic on the forums. I don't have any, any doubt I have AS. I'm already 39 and feel that I made a lot of adaptations along my life to survive.

I know that I should look for another psychologist, but I wouldn't like just leaving the current one. It would be good make her see my AS reality.

Any ideas?

Reading through the... interesting variety of English, I think your saying that you've seen two psychologists, and neither accept the possibility that you could have aspergers. I'd recomending seeing another psychologist.

For a second language, your post looks pretty good. You are intelligent. You are 39 years old. You know better than anyone who you are. Would there be any practical benefit to a proper diagnosis? Do you need some service that would not be available without it?

As I've said before, at this level, I believe that a self-diagnosis is more valid that a professional diagnosis. You are the only one in there, and the only one who can know what's really happening.

You don't owe the current psychologist anything. It's nothing but a business relationship.
