I want a laptop with internet access. I have no clue how to do any of this, but anyway, I was wondering if they might have one at a thrift store?

HI, One of my favorites places to shop is the thrift store, you never know what you'll find...People tend to turn their laptops in to replace the ones they drop, misuse, etc...I have seen computers, but I would be wary of laptops in thrift stores...Try ebay first, ask the folks here for suggestions on good brands, etc....Good luck to you! Peace......

Thank you! I supose it would be wise to be wary, but if there is one and it seems like it'd work, I;ll probably snatch it any way. and if it doesn't work, I'll give it to my brother and he can use the parts.

Thrift stores might have them, but they're likely to be old (read: very slow) and in bad shape. So it's buyer beware when purchasing a used laptop.

There are specific Goodwill stores that deal specifically with donated computers and electronics. There's one in Fullerton, I don't know if that's close to you. ??

Fullerton's in SoCal, I believe. And don't worry if that's too far because there's also http://shopgoodwill.com...which lets you buy stuff from any Goodwill in America that posts items there. And you'd be surprised what you can find.
