Never mind, I remember now, he's the American radio host who said we should all get drunk to lessen our symptoms. I found that pretty funny at the time (and maybe sometimes true?), but when did he use the phase Ass - Burgers?

I remember a time that a friend was whispering to me about someone I had just met, "he has ass boogers," or so I thought she was saying. She was actually trying to be kind, and asking me to excuse his somewhat unsociable behavior. I thought she was telling me he was being grouchy because he was being bothered by hemorrhoids, and I hoped he would be able to have surgery soon! :( I'm not trying to be tacky, that was just the association my mind made in my ignorance at the time. I would really like to have a different name for the syndrome, because "Asperger's" is so easily misunderstood. I prefer "Aspergian," myself.

It's really unfortunate that there is such a social stigma attached to names. I wish there was some way to get rid of that.

I've seen it used on the somethingawful.com forums, but usually in the context of people referring to themselves.

He lives in his own little world, just listen to him talk about his own airplane "EIB - 1"

He believes that ADHD and other mental problems are nothing more than made up disorders by the medical community to explain problems caused by liberals in this country and that problems faced by people such as financial and substance abuse problems can be solved by taking a mind-over-matter approach. He belives that people who are unsucessful in life have nothing to blame but their own laziness.

Of course this came out the mouth of a person who spent six years with a painkiller addiction.

One day I happened to have his show on. He took a call from a 12 yr old who self-cured himself of ADHD, he had stopped taking his meds cold turkey and he was doing better than ever.

Limbaugh was estatic, and proclaimed that this kid was the embodiment of everything that was wrong with todays medical community and his story could serve as an example for the other kids who have this made up disorder.

At least Sean Hannity takes a more realistic view of ADHD, he says it exists, but it is badly over diagnosed.

Rush had a caller on his show who claimed to have AS and Rush tried to talk him out of thinking so.

The whole idea makes me wonder if Rush might be Aspergian, as he has a very narrow and obsessive interest in conservative politics...does not socialize much (except on the golf-course)
...he has issues he attempted to resolve through self-medication. He even has a pronoun problem manifested in stuttering when using "I".

Hmmmm...just thinking.......Nahhhhhhhhhhhh.
