I hear of Aspies that say they are an encyclopedia of knowledge. I don't know everything but love watching animal/medical documentaries. I remember certain facts like from a special a person who woke up from a 19 year coma and a neuropsychologist analyzed his brain and WHY he woke up etc. or the girl who had half a brain (she was a child when this happen and her name was Brandy (my name hint the remembering aspect) Also while I love Psychology I'm more focused on what I want to learn not what the teacher's teaching. When I was learning it I was more interested in Freud and the beginning of Psychology rather than the later DSM stuff. I don't think I'm an encyclopedia and know everything about Psychology though just interested in stuff OTHER than the basics the teacher is teaching. So who is NOT an encyclopedia?

I'm not.

I sort of can be for some things, like games. I used to be able to get really obsessed with one game at a time and know almost everything about it. I once walked my brother through a level on GoldenEye and told him where each guard was, where he was coming from and when. Johnny on the spot!

I kind of am on videogame's to an extent but I'm not interested getting into games professionally (making them or whatever) I'm more interested in Psychology.

much more so when I was younger than I am now..

I had the tendency to absorb--retain--regurgitate information on particular sujects

My mind has atrophied a bit since then, and is too cluttered up for me to do that anymore..

I would be, but when I was a kid I only had the "A" encyclopedia, but I learned a lot about A topics, no kidding

I am encyclopedia of Birds/Nature and Sonic...

I can rattle off how Buzzards in England are Hawks while in the United States they are Vultures, more specifically Buzzards in Europe are members of genus Buteo which is a group of mostly sit and wait predators.

Or I can combine the knowledge, and say that the major Sonic character birds were Flicky and the chicken I forget it's name in the Genesis games, Bean the Dynamite in Sonic the Fighters, various small animals in the Sonic Adventure and Sonic Advance/Rush series including peacocks, swallows, penguins and phoenixes, The Babylon Rogues (Jet, Storm, Wave) oh, and Sonic Unleashed's Dark Gaia Phoenix

Despite being a lover of anime, I don't really have an encyclopedic knowledge of whatever series I'm obsessed with. I usually just spend a lot of time drawing/thinking about my favorite characters and coming up with my own fanfics and AMVs for them (which never get created; I prefer to keep them to myself).

Hellsing was a possible exception to this - whenever I saw something or heard something that reminded me of it, I would say "Oh, this reminds me of episode/manga chapter such-and-such where the character so-and-so did/said ____ ." I also memorized the names of every voice actor in the English dub.

I was once a walking encyclopedia of Rock Trivia, and had a pretty impressive Cinematic database as well, but you have to stay on top of that stuff or your info gets outdated and if you don't constantly refresh it, a lot of it gets pushed out or overwritten by other data.

But Hell yeah, in my day. If you get me started, I can still babble religious philosophy and theoretical physics as it applies to the paranormal until your ears bleed. 8O

Oh, and conspiracy theories. I love a good conspiracy theory, the wilder the better... :P

I'm a Super Mario encyclopedia, except for when it comes to Paper Mario, and a few Mario games I never played. Other than them, I would score 100% no doubt.

Well, some people used to say I thought I knew everything. They stopped saying that when they found out that I was usually right. I never claimed to know everything. I don't even claim to know most stuff about those areas I know so much about. BUT, if I am in a discussion where people are talking about things I know a lot about I might start sounding like an encyclopedia.

And you and I am similar in that I DO remember a LOT about what I watch or experience. DECADES later I may apply it in some interesting way.

It is another aspect that I see that points to AS.

Unfortunately, no. I learn little about my interests, generally speaking. At least I can not articulate what I know about them anyway. I am not talking encyclopedia without an off switch, for sure.

I have a mind full of this and that. Loose bits. When I shake my head it makes a rattling sound.

People come to me for trivia. I hardly ever disappoint.

I'm an encyclopedia of anything Lazytown or the old ITV regions. Other stuff... meh.
