Example punctuation and how a sentence is written etc. I can read and reread and a sentence seems fine to me although someone who's smarter (teacher/student getting A's in English etc.) says they can't understand it. In my brain no matter what it makes since TO ME! So I was curious if others on the spectrum had issues like this just curious. :-)

No, I have no language comprehension deficiencies whatsoever.
I am able to read a book once and adopt the author's unique style of writing.
So just as long as the author used proper grammar then I am in no fault.

But I have an indecent grade in English, for my teacher doesn't teach us simple, unaffective lessons from a textbook. Instead, he gives us reading assignments and he creates his own projects and classwork for us that are much more notoriously difficult than necessary. Therefore, causing me to ignore them, since they are much too challenging.

But I like learning new words, especially words that people at school can't understand.
I find humor in confusing my classmates with "big words."

However, in 9th grade (last year), my English teacher was rather stupid and maladroit and thought I had a pretentious style of writing because of my overusage of "big words."
When really I was just trying to differentiate myself from other people since they used "small words" and had hysterically poor grammar.

Not to worry, I also have problems in English. Spellcheckers really work because they help me with my bad grammar. :)

I would say my grammatical skills are "average". Although at times, I'm a little unsure about my punctuation. My spelling is TERRIBLE! I use the spell checker constantly.

I know when I proof read a paper, It helps for me to wait and proof read it a day later. I find that I discover a TON of things I missed the previous day.

I wouldn't call the people who have better grammar "smarter" than you....even if they have better grades. It just means that they have a more developed ability than yourself. I'm sure there are many abilities that you may have that those people do not.

Thanks ya for example some NT might take forever in coming up with paper ideas but since as an Aspie I base my papers on special interest (in College it was Psychology) so I excelled and IMO there's so much to research and undiscovered behavior topics out there to explore it's amazing. When I first started in College in English 1 I got a C and barely passed my Psychology teacher though put a sticky note on my paper "very thorough but have someone check for grammatical errors" So I took it back and did a proof read (something I'd never do and it was semi ok I got an A) and from then onward I proof read. She could have easily failed it or slapped a C on it but she read through it and read the paper ON THE TOPIC not if the grammar is good/bad. :-) Also BTW I never grasped Citatition stuff so I Googled it and found a cheat sheet input title of article, author etc. CLICK and there's your citation in correct format as it should be LOL!

I was always told I was good at spelling, especially when I was younger. At the age of seven I could spell the word "autobiographical", and my classmates always used to ask me to spell words for them. I guess I was just good at sounding the words out.

No, I have excellent English and grammar, even if I'm not a native English speaker.

I sometimes have a bit problems with grammar and spelling. But english isnt my native language, so I blame it on that. ;)

If the spelling or grammar is wrong, I usually find it difficult to understand. I guess I work out the meaning like a fairly simple computer program would, so that if the input is breaking the rules, the process fails - or "rubbish in, rubbish out" as computer buffs would say.

It's pretty much the same problem as I get when I can't hear a speaker properly....my attention gets hung up on the gaps in the transmission, and I get left behind.

I've made some progress in this art of making sense out of nonsense though. Time was when I'd get quite upset if there was a simple typo error, but these days I can often compensate on the fly. It seems to be mostly a matter of getting used to the style and trying not to worry too much about working it all out perfectly.

I sometimes have trouble spelling longer words, but other than that I'm okay.

i'm accepting of grammar difficulties and spelling difficulties if the post, article or whatever i happen to be reading is interesting and/or "good", relevant etc.
however i'm very pedantic when it comes to spelling and can't help but feel frustrated when the spelling is incorrect.

I'm good at English and writing, but I seem crap at explaining things though, so get the same result as you describe here.

The only issues that I tend to have with grammar, is when others use improper grammar. (saying, "I seen," when they should say "I saw!") As for the other stuff, don't even get me started on how much I despise the fact that people seem so uneducated these days (this fact proven by poor literacy rates, use of slang and improper grammar, poor spelling). Just the sound of, "I seen," makes my skin crawl. I have to fight off the urge to correct the one that used the improper grammar, as well as fight the urge to vomit.
