My dad is such a jerk. He is very immature...He does stuff simply to bug me when he's upset with me. Like just now, he opened my room's door to ask me a question. My room is really small. His cologne was stinking it up, and I dislike his cologne a lot..It really pervades my senses and is quite unpleasant....And my room gets scented really easily, since it's so small.
So I asked him when he was done a bit hurriedly if he would close the door because his cologne would stink up my room, and he immediately opened my door really fast so it would waft in...Giving me a terrible wave of the scent..It's still not gone! This is so inconsiderate, then I have to put up with it and waste my own expensive perfume spraying it around the room.
And it REALLY bugs me, I can't explain why....I guess the combination of the scent and his doing that on purpose? It really upsets me and like, makes me stim really hard and bang my head and hurt myself....Is that abnormal?

But why does he do this!? He does other stuff to bug me. He likes opening my door a crack, shaking the handle and stuff, and then suddenly swinging it open really fast to startle me, and then slam it shut....He just does this stupid s**t JUST to bug me. And he gets mad at me, and gets too close when I get upset...And like pushes me and stuff. I HATE HIM.

That does sound very immature. I've known people like that. It's strange that AS people are supposed to be the ones who can't put themselves in another person's shoes, and yet there are so many people like your dad, who will try to force you to smell more of their cologne even though you've made it clear that it bothers you. I sometimes get the feeling that a lot of people who don't have sensory issues are simply incapable of grasping how it feels. My mother is bothered by more colognes than I am, and gets an instant headache if someone wears cologne near her. She has tried to explain to co-workers that she doesn't want to offend them, but she has a bad reaction to their cologne. Still, they get their feelings all hurt, and sometimes they wear even more just to get back at her for "not liking" their cologne. Apparently they don't have the ToM to grasp that her experience of the cologne is different from their experience. Or maybe they're just mean. Or immature.

I'm not allowed to have a lock.
Gosh, Elderwanda, that's mean about your mum. I don't get why people are like this! Grrrr. And I don't even know if I have a right to be mad...I don't exactly know the definition of sensory issues. The smell doesn't burn me or anything...Just the situation causes unshakeable stress and frustration...And the fact that the smell is in MY room. I guess I'll need to research sensory issues closer.
My dad might possibly have AS..But if he does, he is very clearly the narcissistic type.

You really need to confront your dad about it, though I notice that you're Turkish and given the Islamic culture there that might no be a good idea. :(

problems within himself that have nothing to do with you. My dad tormented me my entire childhood (and worse). I am only now at the stage of (barely) understanding how damaged a person can be that tormenting others is a relief. It might help to think of it as a stim, but his stim is by tormenting others. I think I attract people like this, being so empathic, people hone in on the fact that you are more sensitive than most. And if they have something they need to release, they zone in for you.

You are trapped. His behavior is wrong and unfair. You probably can't change him. You might be able to get support for dealing with the abuse. And then at some point get away from it. Hugs.

I see you're 17, try taking pleasure in the fact that you'll be a adult soon and be able to move out :)

While I agree with you, consider maybe he views it differently. is perception may be hes just fooling around, or that it really does not bother you. He could be trying to interact with you, even though its a dumb way to do so.

When he pushes you, is it maliciously, as in with anger?

I think many people with AS don't ever think that the person whos bothering them see's it as something else.

Of course he may really be doing this for a bad reason, and is indeed a bad person. I don't know enough to make that call, nor would I want to really.

If letters don't work, then talk to him. You may hate confrontation but if you don't speak up and make it clear whats wrong, nothing will ever change.

DEFINITELY have another talk with him and stress that it's not funny and seriously bothers you.

Being legally able to move out does not necessarily mean that one is capable of doing so.

True moving out can be very hard, I can work on my own but just wish I could go back home for I know I work much better with a little push from time to time and by living by myself I don't have anyone to push me out of my thought, so very hard to do thing that don't catch my interest.

i think he is trying to socialise in some stupid way. i hate him. and yes he pushes when he's angry.
he also likes to pull my hair in public, where he knows ill try hard not to make a scene, and he can get away with it. i absolutely HATE the tickly sensation, and ask him to stop, and he doesnt. i want him DEAD.
and just now, he informed me that my computer will be confiscated at 10 pm every night. i dont even know why. if its to make me sleep earlier it wont work. i told them i go to bed after they do, because they will keep me awake otherwise, ad they dont beleive me.

Ok, pulling your hair in public is really NOT normal, and neither is pushing you when angry.

I'd recommend telling someone at school.

Dealing with parents can be difficult. I found no solution, aside from moving out.

My father has Aspergers as well, and is not mild. When I was a teen, he thought the fact that I was withdrawn was a sign of depression. He wanted to fix me and make me social, yet he wasn't. He thought he was, but he would talk at people for a long period of time, sometimes as long as an hour, and never notice they weren't listening. It took several doctors stating he had it for him to even slightly acknowledge it. Even now, he won't admit it to anyone.

When he tried to fix me,he moved me from my home (with grandparents), where I had my own room, to his house, where I was stuck in the basement. I had no privacy, no door to my "room". They would come down to loudly shake the ashes from the coal stove, or use the hot tub.

Parents can be great, but they can also be awful. I just learned to deal with the pain until I could be free.
