Ever since I was really young, I could feel a dense energy felid or "aura" from people. This is why I always found it uncomfortable to be so close to someone. The more anxious or enegertic a person is, the denser their feild. Children have high ones and grumpy or obese people have denser ones. Now I am discovering that animals also have this enegery feild because I can pick it up from them. The feild I get from an animal isn't disturbing at all unless it is from a dog, But then there is a posiblity I am picking up the feild of it's owner or other people that are around that are making the dog nervous. I can pick up on an animal's emotional state and if it is agressive or not by its energy feild. Somehow I can pick up on weither they are agressive or not and can't explain why, I'm thinking it's got to do with their energy feild. Whatever it is, it has NEVER proven wrong. I sometimes can pick up the electrial imput from machinery but it's always nutural. I've explained this to people before but I don't think they get it. I was wondering if anyone else on the spectrum can feel it too.

just out of curiousity. Would you say that you are able to read facial expressions too.

I have been resurching on the subject of aspies with equality in left and right brain function. Would you say that you are able to use metaphor and that figurative language is something you are comfortable with?

I am writing my 2nd book and very curious to explore in greater depth the lives of aspies who deeply are advanced in feeling and intuition........

PS would you say you are artisticalyl inclined?

Wishing you well from a freezing London.

Chris

Sounds like you're an Empath. I don't know why, but there seems to be quite a few Aspies who are also Empaths.

Reminds me of someone. There was a tornado so everyone had to go down to the locker rooms in school. There was a girl crying and shaking claiming to "feel people's energy" from being too close to them. How silly.

Not silly to me. When I feel people's energy or what ever it is I pick up on, it's physicaly painful (at least with humans).

Criss, I don't know. I can only only communiate with humans verbaly and even that is dificult. I can only pick up an animal's emotional state, not that of a person. It sounds like it's going to be an intresting book, but no thank you, I'm not intrested.

First thing I'd want to check, is it line-of-sight only, or would you pick up on someone through a brick wall? I think there's a million dollars going if you can reliably demonstrate the latter. ^^

I now usually use the word "aura" to mean the simple partial seizures of temporal lobe epilepsy which gives me sensations totally distinct from normal environmental stimuli.

I also occasionally still use the word "aura" to mean the energy fields surrounding everything, including animals and people. Being kissed by the gods (now labeled having tle), I use to speak-in-tongues and read people's aura with great precision. More controlled experiments, trying to satisfy the requirements of the Scientific Method, at "least" by Karl Popper's standards, are being attempted by others using computer technology and the "God Helmet" modifications.

My present wonder with the God Helmet and Shaktitechnology experiments is distinguishing the sensory deprivation effects from the observed effects, and then, avoiding all the "Clever Hans" effects from inadvertent flaws in all the trials. Awhile back, I was going to respond to a posting about a person's observed ability of reading people's "color aura" after discontinuing an AED regimen, but I don't think I posted my response. I use to amaze people with my ability to read their "color aura" they were thinking of being engulfed in, with another person writing down beforehand the color they were to engulf themselves in in thought, for independent verification of my great ability, but looking back, it was probably just inadvertant body-language communication hidden from myself by non-verbal autoclitics creating another "Clever Hans" effect (Clever Hans was one super-smart horse, who would even get angry if anyone questioned his "doctorate degrees from Seance Horse University"). Then, I could "read" esoteric things easier than more mundane things.

I t sounds more like you are picking up on their general disposition,or what is known in science as there physical aura. If you think you are picking up upon a Psychical Aura have you looked into the research on this. From what I have read it is very inconclusive at best, and most likely this phenomena can be put down to other influencing factors.

PunkyKat: I'm an empath too. People's "presence bubbles" used to crush my "shields", because I didn't have any for a long time.

So maybe you will be the one to finally demonstrate this ability under scientific conditions.

Can you explain this more to me? If someone touches me I get extremely distressed and I do not like people around me, it makes me feel uncomfortable. How does this differ from "auras"?

I'm an agnostic on the issue. I allow for both the observant/psychological explanation and for the energetic explanation. I don't see what kind of scientific proof you're looking for, however.

There are trained cold readers out there who can read way more than just people's moods, because they practice this professionally. To me, its just an emotional reaction... sensing intent. Sensing if an individual is a good person at the core - which is likely subject to my definition of a "good person".

Quantifying the validity of that will be a big problem for you, but you can't stop me from sharing what I feel with other people on an Internet forum.

Did you ever love, hate, miss someone ? Did someone repulse you instantly by their mere presence ? Now demonstrate this ability under scientific conditions.

There have been many studies into the belief in psychic auras, in all the ones I have read the person who claimed to be able to read auras failed. I do not doubt that people genuinely believe they feel / sense these things, what I am questioning is the objectivity of these claims. So far no one (to my knowledge) has been able to objectively prove this.

Reactions to people can come form a variety of sources, look, smell, posture, chemical who knows. But to assume that the feeling you get is some how paranormal without objectively analysing the situation .. well it just smacks of fantasy to me.

BTW I do not nor will I ever try to prevent anyone from sharing their beliefs, I will however challenge those beliefs. This is what is meant by freedom of speech

At some point, the science could not objectively prove the existence of either microbes or radiowaves. I assure you they existed at the time.

Since you still talk of "proof", I don't really know what to tell you. As I said, what I feel could be "scientifically proven" by a cold reader. Do you know what a cold reader is ? I never claimed to have x-ray vision - this is the kind of stuff you read into my post that was never there.
